Let's leave the national politics out of the sport would you.. Isreal Cycling Academy is just a team, so is Bahrein Mehrida and UAE.

Otherwise you could keep on going. Like saying Trek and Education First are just the long arm of Trump or something. Please. Let's not go there :)

Israel, Bahrein and UAE - what a nice trio.
Yeah, two authoritarian dictatorships and a democracy.

Keep the politics out of the thread dude

Sponsors and team owners are directly relevant to professional road racing. In an era where kleptocracies, dictatorships and plutocratic supporters of grim regimes are using cycling to rehabilitate their images, that’s part of the sport.

Sure, but once we start down that road, someone can find politics or people they dislike in any organisation, and we will no longer be discussing sports, but politics.

You are absolutely right, but when I come to the transfers and rumours thread, it's because I want to read about transfers and rumours. The politics don't have to be brought up every time Bahrain-Merida or ICA are mentioned.

That’s a fair point.

What an awful post. Trek or Education First aren't a propaganda vehicle to promote jingoism and fear mongering.

The point is that we should keep the politics out of this thread or it's going to become an ugly thread about politics rater than about tranfsers.

You are absolutely right and I will follow that example.

Should Terpstra leave? Maybe he can sign his last lucrative contract with another team, a team that pays more than QST?

Guess that depends on who is offering a contract and what his role would be. Plus he seems happy at QS and sometimes that worth a lot.

Could be a good move for him, lot of French speakers and a great selection of domestiques.

as much as I like Sky, I´d feel for the brain melting that would follow on the web and over the mountains I see in front of my home. the French cousins would go mad :D
