Your argument makes no sense. It has nothing to do with riding with AC and everything to do with the cluster-fu%k of a situation at Astana. If they had their crap together in August, maybe a different story. But it's 4 days before the official signing deadline and they only have 9 riders under contract. Maybe 10. They have not announced a single transfer IN to Astana. Or that they have an actual management structure in place (sure they signed Yvon, but it's not like he has an active management company right now; he's got to build a structure to support the team . . . in 4 days).

It's not a reflection on AC or whether anyone wants to ride with him. It's a reflection on Astana.

Looks like AC is staying.

Since you're smarter than I am, can you explain to me why AC might stay?

A few have transferred into Astana.

I defer to your superior knowledge and intelligence to explain this one to me.

Maybe this was addressed earlier. I don't really keep up with the CN forums.

Conterpolis-Ampo just confirmed they will be there next year as well.
So we might see Rasmussen in their team kit in 2010.

AC is staying because there is ambiguity surrounding the clause recently adopted by the UCI stating that if a team failed to submit the essential documents by October 20th, then a rider could terminate his contract. The ambiguity is whether the clause applies to ALL rider contracts, or just those entered into after July 2009 (when the clause was adopted). Instead of fighting in court, he's apparently made the decision to see out the remainder of his contract. All assuming that Astana has a ProTour license for 2010, which is very much up in the air at this moment.

My comment was in response to your earlier allegation that NO ONE WANTED TO RIDE WITH AC. I was simply pointing out that no one had any idea what was going on with Astana and that wasn't a reflection on AC. I stand by my original point. It is only within the last month or six weeks that Astana has gotten serious about things.

Im going to put you down for an epic fail. Next time re-read your own posts before talking sh*t.

That's a cool news.
So probably Albert's team are gonna do a few more/bigger road races in the off season.

transfer confirmed!
Franzoi has signed a contract for two years and will concentrate on cyclo-cross for that period. He told sporza his road programme will probably number no more than 40 days a year.

two for the classics, one for the tour i guess...

im finding the sky roster more confusing every day..

so with cioni and vigano that will be 24.. room for 1, or 2 more..

do we know if this is the sexy bit of kit they are going to riding yet..

I would guess Footon. Unless his brother has been having a word to Bjarne Riis...

Indeed I was thinking of Footon as well, as they already hired last year a US sprinter (Ivan Dominguez).

If Sebastian Haedo does join Footon, don't be surprised if he goes the same way of Hilton Clarke and Ivan Dominguez. In saying that, good luck to Haedo though. I guess you will never know if you never try.

Landis left his team for look at other opportunities in Europe racing.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up. Not on any team hoping to get a TDF nod I'd think.

Recently he said that he is not thinking of any chance to ride Tour again.

Could it be really Footon?
Actually they are looking for cheap riders so it would make some sense.

Christophe Peraud signed for 2 years with Omega-Pharma.
If I remember correctly last summer after his victory at the national TT he said he wasn't thinking to turn on the road as he loved too much mtb.

Probably he changed opinion after seeing the check. ;)

Looks like Francesco Chicchi isn't going to BMC after all then accorging to the Liquigas final roster...

And Pellizotti going to SKY. But then, must people were not expecting Evans to leave Silence-Lotto and join BMC, no matter how many $$$$$$$$ were pushed in front of his face.
