Just Widar.New Remco? New Pogacar? New Merckx?
Widar winnar.
Takes the second MTF in the Giro Next Gen as well.
Widar 2e youngest and Torres 3e youngestImpressive of Torres! Like Widar only 18!
Rondel was 11th in TotA so I think the level uphill is pretty high.Great leadout from Tudor last climb
Torres not far off Widars level and he's also only 18 years old. Gotta wonder if the level isn't just pretty low this year.
The question is whether Lotto can get Widar signed up for their pro teams. They'll be competing with a few teams.
Also an average speed of 53.8 km/h during the first hour of racing, with no break formed befrore the first climb.New Belgian Climbing Supertalent | Giro Next Gen Stage 6 2024 - Lanterne Rouge
Jarno Widar, Pablo Torres, Pau Marti and Mathys Rondel did one of the best climbing performances in a…lanternerouge.com
The level was high indeed.
To be fair there are a lot of riders still age eligible like Pelizarri/Del Toro/Christen/Uijtebroeks/L Martinez that have already moved beyond age group races. That goes a long way towards explaining a drop in top level.Great leadout from Tudor last climb

Apparantly the level hasn't dropped because of talented 18 year olds entering the U23. The problem is that they are gone a year later so the talent pool is probably thinner than before. To be fair there are a lot of riders still age eligible like Pelizarri/Del Toro/Christen/Uijtebroeks/L Martinez that have already moved beyond age group races. With the way things currently are it would be more apt to have an under 21 raceApparantly the level hasn't dropped because of talented 18 year olds entering the U23. The problem is that they are gone a year later so the talent pool is probably thinner than before.
