Großschartner or Hirschi would also be my pick over Bennett.
With Wellens you always have the potential heat allergy problem in the Tour, so I can understand why that + coming back from injury could be a problem.

UAE already said Hirschi don't do any GT this season. Großschartner was super strong last week.

I think Wellens was bought in to do classics and the tour. But forsure he is a question mark bc of his injuries.

Clearly a better team than last year.

Good that Novak isn't on the squad he was really bad in Slovenia.

Yates and Majka should really match the support of Kuss and kelderman in my eyes so there is parity this year. Soler is a bit of wildcard. Eyeryone else seems to be in form. Especially Grossschartner was really strong in his helper role and can do that in multiple terrains.

Of course Jumbo still has the advantage in situation where roleurs are needed. No team can match the power of WvA, Laporte, Benoot, NvH and van Baarle. It will be interessting to see how UAE will play that this year. If they are a bit more chill and clever in the early break creation and how they handle hectic race situations from a domestique pov.

Very good team

Pogi - Vingo
Yates - Kuss
Majka - Wilco
Soler - Van Aert
Bjerg - Benoot
Grossschartner - Van Baale
Trentin - Laporte
Laengen - Van Hooydonck.

Trentin, Laengen and Bjerg are extremely good for flattish terrain. Not Jumbo level, of course, but Pogi won't be isolated. Trentin is great for positioning and Bjerg is an excellent powerhorse.

Yates, Majka, Soler and Grosschartner (with Dauphine form) are on par or slightly better than Jumbo when it comes to mountains. Unless Van Aert refinds his Hautacam legs, of course.

Yeah, Soler's form atm is a bit of an enigma, while guys like Formolo and even more Hirschi seem to be in great shape. That said, the team probably knows a lot more about Soler's shape than we do. This year's Tour also features a lot less hectic flat stages, so Jumbo should have less on an advantage there.

This is probably the best team that they could have chosen (given that Ayuso will ride only the Vuelta).

Yates has been in great shape this season and although he has never been on the Tour podium he can always be used to put some pressure on Jumbo and Vingegård.

Majka, Grossschartner and Bjerg have been very good lately so it makes total sense that they are selected.

Although Soler is inconsistent he is a very good rider and on his day, could be there with Pogačar even in the high mountains.

Trentin has been in good shape this season and he can be useful especially in the first week. Længen is not great but with Bjerg becoming more versatile, it makes sense to have a second rouleur.
