Who said?????

I guess Chris Horner and Fabian Cancellara must be clean then. Also people have said Linus was clean and he got a 6.

many riders who doped have said moncoutie even during epo heyday in 90s didn't want to dope, he wouldn't even take vitamin pills

Yes, and that's bad, but that's not the fault of the document itself, but of the journalists reporting it from a sensationalist angle and, if anything, of whoever leaked it.

Well tbh thats what I would expect from journalists (but I am sad to see that some ppl on this forum are actually acting in a similar way and jumping to the conclusions), but that document should ever never have been leaked. It needlessly damages the sport even more.

Probably shouldn't of bolded David but proclaiming that your anti doping doesn't prove you're clean.

The UCI confirmed the existance of the list said that it “deplores” the release of the information will launch an investigation into the breach of confidentiality

This says it all really, they should be asking themselves why none of the people in the 5+ groups have been targeted and where necessary sanctioned.

Also.............

Burt Lancaster

Isnt he an old film star?

Source? They weren't sanctioned because they weren't caught (oh yeah, I forgot, people only don't get caught because of corruption).

What else can they investigate apart from the leak? They created this document themselves almost a year ago, nothing in it is new to them, except the fact it got leaked.

Cancellara 0!!!- wow. Bet that surprises a few!
I would use the ratings cautiously. Like this:

- Riders between 4-6 are suspicious.
- Riders above 6 are pretty much doping
- Riders below 4 we don't know. I don't buy into the clean statement for this category since Landis and company already leaked the way to beat the passport anyway. And as the WADA report said some riders lacked more testing. Who knows if one of those extra tests for Cancellara would have dammed him.

At least that's how I see it.

Floyd would have been a 6-10 on this list for sure. Just look at his numbers and compare them to Lance (4) and Wiggins (5).

It's not a sensationalist angle at all. Fives are certainly suspected of doping.

Landis would be a clear 10, but 90% of the peloton would be a 10 in those days (although it does beg the question how much you should trust someone who claims to know how to beat the biopassport, while having extremely erratic blood values himself).

Before the blood passport it was a waste of time to mask your blood values like that. All you had to do was keep the hematocrit below 50.

Yeah, I know, but when people say the biological passport can easily be beaten because Landis says he knows how (despite not having the most stable blood values, and not having had any real reason to mask his blood values), you can aks how relevant his masking techniques are in the current peloton, but we're getting completely offtopic now.

This document defames many riders of which they're isn't any proof what so ever that they are doping. Doping and cycling has officially become a joke.

The riders are to blame for that. They are the ones who do it and allow others to do it and keep quiet about it.

i would love to see a group of riders get together to demand how they came about the numbers and then sue. But as usual it will probably be talk is cheap.

Want to hear JVs thoughts on the list!

is he going to sue:

1) the Biopassport panel for declaring his readings "suspicious" instead of the values of an "honest and hard working young man who trained at altitude"?

2) The UCI for drawing up a rankings system based on the analysis of the Biopassport committee who examined his blood values?

3) Equipe for publishing the list?

4) anyone who makes any insinuation based on his place on the list?

What a Muppet.

The riders need to sue the UCI for bringing their good names into disrepute!

@Cycleboredom the only disappointing part is the confirmation that the Bio Passport is of little value apart from determining frenchness.

Well that depends on how you look at it. While Armstong and Levi scored a 4 popovych managed to hit the jackpott, doesn't that seems suspicious?

Lance will be mad. Popo beat in the most doped race. Lance will need to teach him a lesson out on the road. Take more gear, kill Popo.
