i was wondering the punctures on that jump over the rocks straight in to the corner - the ladies jumped usually 10-20cm behind those rocks but for some reason a lot of guys landed straight on them (like they were 20cm short every time)... i was yelling at the TV what the hell are they doing because of the puncture risks. weird
those who squashed the jump or rolled over those rocks were fine i guess.

They interviewed a Cannondale mechanic during the race, who mentioned what tyre set up their riders were running, and whether they ran with an insert; the 3 riders were all different. Hatherly ran 14-16 psi - and his issue wasn't a puncture, but a heavy landing removing the tyre from the rim.......

They were all running low pressures, which surely risks having issues??

Some interesting racing; until last week, Sina had never won a XCC/XCO World Cup, and now she's won 2 XCC in a row. Looks like some of the Trek riders chose to use the Top Fuel rather than the Supercaliber.......

Koreztky takes his 4th XCC win of the season to claim the XCC title - and mentioned by the commentators, his 13th XCC World Cup podium; overtaking some Dutch guy called MvdP, who had 12 (in 12 races, with 10 wins).

Yes, it's looking good for the sport; lots of talented U23 making the step up to Elites....and a transfer merry go round, so it should look rather different next season.

Nino makes an announcement this week; I think he'll carry on until the Swiss World Champs - and then retire from XCO World Cups......I wonder if he'll carry on with Cape Epic?

Some interesting transfer rumours; Azzaro to Cannondale, Hatherly from Cannondale....

Candice Lill did an interview, and explained moving to a Factory team isn't as simple as it seems; all the sponsors who;ve supported her as a 'Privateer' have to go - and that isn't easy.

well... since the road WCH is impossible for him due to profile he might give XCO a shot - but with better preparation and attitude than last time. would love to see him clash with Pidders and XCO regulars again.

might be related to new regulations UCI and Discovery are trying to implement - not done yet, not all details worked out yet either and not sure if effective next season already - but there should be 2 men and 2 ladies in each world cup team and if not possible then national federations can nominee the riders or something like this... (source: czech studio host/expert commentator who is a part of the committee preparing these rules)

I was off the grid all weekend so I didn't catch any of the coverage (or lack thereof) from Mont Sainte-Anne, but rather unfortunate for Isabella Holmgren to crash out of her home race when she already had a healthy gap on the rest of the U23 field. Hopefully nothing serious and she can test her mettle in CX soon.

reportedly minor shoulder separation. she should be OK relatively soon if that's really the case

Time to rest after a busy and successful summer on the MTB, and Road bike. Still only 19, so she doesn't want to do too much. It's possible, she does a short/ reduced CX season

On the Cyclocross Social podcast they mentioned that Philpsen will concentrate on Road & MTB, and will do very little CX.
