With FirstCycling Astana already passed UNO X; saturday problably also Arkea.Astana started the year in 21st place, and there are still there.
However. They could find themselves in 19th very soon.
What riders are we talking about? Neither Ulissi nor Scaroni are injured. They both could be back for Milano - Torino.Astana lost 65 points to cofidis the last two days and 2 important riders for a time. When do they need to come back for astana having a chance?
Maybe a little disengous to say neither are injured. Maybe no broken bones, but I'm sure both are sore, hurting, and feeling and somewhat secondhand. Bodies need time to recover. What riders are we talking about? Neither Ulissi nor Scaroni are injured. They both could be back for Milano - Torino.
Seeing PicNic there weirdly sparks me with joy. It would be another blow to Dutch cycling, but hey that's what they get for fumbling Olav Kooij. If Astana catches Cofidis or DSM the battle for the guaranteed WCs would be insane.
1. UNO X 1426
2. Tudor 1375
3. Cofidis 1269
4. Q36.5 1269
5. Total 1154
6. PicNic 1083
7. Arkea 906
Also if Cort actually starts performing in big classics and monuments UNO X might have a shot at WT themselves. They probably miss a GC rider to actually have a shot, but you never know. Last year they were insane in May/June too.
They will, in jan 2026Why don't they just reset the points in Jan?
The UCI website updates the team rankings on Tuesdays.2465 points difference now (could be even 5 less, i dont know whether teunissens points are already counted). 2205 points gained already, so almost half way (do they get this maybe wednesday?). Uno-X and Arkea passed
Much better week than I think even Vino could've hoped for. To have closed almost half the gap by mid-March is absurd.
I think Intermarché are probably safe but DSM are in big trouble, I agree. Also because Intermarché, DSM and Cofidis are absolutely atrocious. Riding 2 stage races a whole week long resulted in 73, 43 and 73 points for them.

THJ 11th in T-A is a good step at least. Depends on what stage races they target. They also have Waerenskjold winning races like Tour of Belgium and Poitou Charentes so they do get GC results if they can repeat that but it's the big mountain ones they lack a bit. Also if Cort actually starts performing in big classics and monuments UNO X might have a shot at WT themselves. When looking at the schedule from PCS: Cofidis is riding extremely few races from july on. If they see that they are close in points. Can they request additional invitations in the late season or is this already over?
