Uno-x are moving up. they passed Arkea, and for the first time this year the gap between 18 and 19 place has narrowed down. still a hefty 2700 points gap, but there still a lot and lot of points to grab.

If Astana catches Cofidis or DSM the battle for the guaranteed WCs would be insane.

1. UNO X 1426
2. Tudor 1375
3. Cofidis 1269
4. Q36.5 1269
5. Total 1154
6. PicNic 1083
7. Arkea 906

Also if Cort actually starts performing in big classics and monuments UNO X might have a shot at WT themselves. They probably miss a GC rider to actually have a shot, but you never know. Last year they were insane in May/June too.

Seeing PicNic there weirdly sparks me with joy. It would be another blow to Dutch cycling, but hey that's what they get for fumbling Olav Kooij.

As I think that champoussin and tejada will not drop off today (maybe tejada looses one position against castrillo, but he can even gain one in catching foss. champoussin should have a beautiful stage for him, maybe he even catches one of the guys in front of him), the points difference at the end of the day should be around 2500 points (with then already gaining more than 2100 points this season). On top, Scaroni had to take only three days of the bike after his crash, so he could be back for milano torino as well

THJ 11th in T-A is a good step at least. Depends on what stage races they target. They also have Waerenskjold winning races like Tour of Belgium and Poitou Charentes so they do get GC results if they can repeat that but it's the big mountain ones they lack a bit.

When looking at the schedule from PCS: Cofidis is riding extremely few races from july on. If they see that they are close in points. Can they request additional invitations in the late season or is this already over?

PCS is not the cycling bible, they just don't know. Only the WT races and French races are mentioned cause they are obligated for Cofidis. If you want to see what Cofidis will probably ride, look at their schedule from last year, and add maybe a few races (even tho they already rode a lot) if they are in throuble.

And yes, there is plenty of time to apply for an invitation for .Pro or .1 races that late in the season. Most would even let you in if you ask a few weeks in advance. It has happened that a team asked a few days before the race even and got one.

Nevertheless: extra exitement in cycling world! Big question mark remains if the classic squad can score some points. Starting Wednesday in Nokere but also in all the other Belgian Sprint Classics. Aupa Bol, Teunissen, Malucelli, Kanter!
