God help me. Something Polish said made perfect sense, regardless of its basis on reality.

Have you been blinded by your Lance Hate?

I have been saying "Leaky Smearjob" since it became obvious a year ago.
SI/ESPN/WSJ/60Mins/Blogs/EtcEtcEtc.

Of course, the leaky smearjob will continue even now with the case closed.
But instead of saying "an un-named source close to the investigation" it will become "an un-named source who WAS close to the investigation".

SSDD SSDD SSDD SSDD.
I have said THAT before too in case you did not notice....

Sorry. That was too rude of me.

Have faith Tyler, Floyd and Betsy haven't signed yet,(although I don't know if Floyd has retained his voting privileges.)

Sad day if you're jumping up and down and celebrating the "verdict" on Armstrong and kicking sand in the faces of Floyd and co.

I don't think anyone could have gotten any pleasure out of the way it ended. Its a nothing result. Even Armstrong himself has been muted over the result because it not even a result - its a nothing.

The only ones who can hold their heads high in this mess are those who told the truth. Thats Floyd, Tyler and a handful of others. Not sure there's anything brave in burning through 3 million in change to draw a blank so you can still pretend you're clean.

We need men with balls. Sadly in this soap opera Armstrong showed anything but balls. He showed his wallet and that was about it.

Will anyone give a damn?
I had a conversation with a friend last night about the past week's events in which it finally dawned on me that none of this really matters to anyone except to those of us with "mental scars" and the few people with empathy, who I might add are an increasingly rare breed these days.

It does matter. It really does. In the banking meltdown the only person to be charged was the UBS whistleblower. Yes thats right a guy who tried to blow the cover on the entire scam has been charged by the Feds. Go figure that one out.

You may think life has treated you unfairly but believe me I don't think Armstrong sitting in minimum security jail cell was going to prove much. Won't make anyone feel better.

The guy is a loser. I honestly think its beginning to dawn on him. Even VeloNews which used to read like a fanzee on Armstrong has printed the ESPN story. Everyone knows it was a nothing result and he dodged a massive bullet. How could he be possibly satisfied or fulfilled living his life the way he has?

Mate you should feel thank-ful you've held your head high through the entire saga. You can live knowing the truth. He can't even do that - what sort of man does that make him? Where's the pride in that?

Life goes on.

That one made me laugh! Everyone with half a brain already knows that Armstrong doped. Who cares what the people without half a brain think?

If this is true then Armstrong groupies may in fact be the dumbest people on the planet.

Who cares what the people without half a brain think?

Which makes me take pause and ask myself a question, "why am I responding to this poster?"

Bad habit, I guess.

The opinions of Armstrong's groupies are obviously important to you.

Why?

106 signatures on the "overwhelming evidence" petition. Looks like the conspiracy advocates are a fringe group howling into the wind.

Glee at the hands of injustice. Great times, great times.

No one can comprehend the maltreatment that TexPat endured, and the non-outcome this week.

Who will care about the matters for LA lying, bullying and doping...just the millions (28 million?) people mislead by the fictitious LieStrong branding.

Exactly. Armstrong may have gained the world but he's lost his soul. I don't have the least bit of respect for the man. And I know I'm not alone. My assessment could still change were he to come clean (even at this late date) and commit himself to making the sport clean, but sadly I don't see that happening.

It'll be interesting to see if the grand jury testimony gets handed over to the USADA as WADA has urged, or if Armstrong's attorneys move to have the evidence sealed. If Armstrong has truly never taken PEDs as he claims and has nothing to hide, he should welcome the the GJ material being handed over to the USADA in order to further clear his name. But again I don't see this happening. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Let's say Lance lives his life out in relative peace- how will Livestrong be seen? Despite the personal failings of the man his legacy is set. Hell I'd say Livestrong might actually might do some good once he is gone.

Only fringe sees injustice.

Injustice - thats an interesting phrase.

Not least because you have banged out all sorts of legalize dilemmas and situations - one would expect that justice should be celebrated and fought for.

The petition will go no-where - however "justice" goes beyond the law - even your sketchy application of the law.

The USADA investigation is ongoing and there is a high chance that ultimately Armstrongs deceit will be exposed and genuine questions will be asked why charges were not pursued and the cycle for the general public will be complete.

Thanks for the personal insult. I'd discuss the matter further, but I'm not eager for another endless round of miscasting my arguments and misquoting (in quotes) my statements.

Have a NICE day!

The referendum on how out of touch the haters are--the Presidential Petition--is now up to 108 votes.

Well, as I did respond to your specific post, I can see why you may have taken it personally.

However, I did not insult you in any way.
I articulated how you have a strange sense of justice. Nothing more .
But your rush to claim it as an 'insult' is most revealing.

Thank you for the compliment.

I am more than happy and prepared to discuss or debate anyone on their views, as they are to question, debate etc mine.

There should not be an "end-less argument" - surely you should be able to come up with a rational and consistent position that requires little debate.

I'm not sure exactly why you are wasting your valuable time hanging around this particular thread for so long, but certainly this comment is intended to provoke?

So some folks choose to sign a petition...leave it at that.

Yeah. 108 folks accuse the federal prosecutors of failing to indict despite "overwhelming evidence."

But your point is well taken.

.

What about YOUR points? You argue one position one day and the next day it's the complete opposite.

You're either schizophrenic or purposely duplicitous. And I've seen some instances where you're on the computer ALL DAY LONG bloviating to no end.

Get a grip, man. It's not like we don't know what your agenda continues to be.
