LOL, maybe I will.;)(Im a guy, and NOT Greg-he was my hero though as a kid, and the reason why I got into cycling).

LOL... I really thought for a moment - well, more than a moment - that it was Greg. Your 'hero as kid'? Hmmm....well, if you're a position to pass on the good comments to him, please do! ;)

I hope he appeals so that he has to pay the USADA's legal fees then too. The attorneys working for the USADA deserve to make as much as they can off of Wonderboy.

That makes quite a few of us my friend.

I can hear Armstrong's attorney's now telling him that appealing is useless, and Armstrong, in a parody of that Hitler video, screeching and cursing like a monkey. His past actions indicate that he is blind and stupid enough to appeal something that is an easy call on the part of the 5th Circuit.

You know he'll appeal, you just know it. This is all a very well crafted 'witch hunt" to bring him down, and everyone else did it, and not me, so they're all just jealous...blah blah blah. It's the same old tired, broken record for the Pharmstrong. He's running out of options now.......nice to finally see.

Never mind. You're not Greggo. :-(

If anyone ever does show up purporting to BE him, I have a way of validating his claim with a question only Lemond would/could know the answer to.

I am just really, really sad about all of the people who will never hear about cancer because of this...

Thats a sham too probably.......unfortunately, 'Live Strong" will probably cease operations once it's determined he did. Like I've said all along, had he just come out years ago and admitted, "Yeah, I doped, and heres why", no one would've said anything, or made that big of a deal about it. But, his ******y attitude, and arrogance, made him an easy target.

When I DETESTED him is when he said he could get 10 folks to say that Lemond doped, yet, never provided any sort of proof that GL did indeed "dope". Not one former: rider/teammate/dr/etc/etc. Yet, seems every other week, we began to hear story after story about Pharmstrong doping and some sort of cover up to proclaim his "innocence". here we are 22 yrs(and counting) later, and there's STILL no report/former teammate/etc saying Lemond doped.......

I hope Greg is remembered as a fantastic rider & someone who told the truth from the beginning, and ALOT of folks will owe him a huge apology. Of course, this is just MY opinion

Just an offline acknowledgement using said handle in The Clinic would suffice for me.
Why would a celeb go online "Oh yeah I am really Greg, believe me" when he can just write a mention in a blog, drop the handle in a TV show, etc, etc?

LOL, not very good I imagine....expect a "statement from Lance" in the next few days, claiming they'll go to arbitration, then he'll try to spin it some way to make it seem as if it's another "witch hunt". He'll probably try to get a few more congressmen involved. When your own city's judge shoots you down...time to start re-evaluating your options.

He's so stupid though, he'll fight this till the very end, even if it means paying out millions of dollars.....what a huge fraud.

Armstrong has always been lucky. No matter what happens, no matter how slim the odds, he has managed to pull though, whether it was surviving cancer, winning seven Tours with barely a flat tire, or having a federal investigation shut down weeks before an indictment. No matter what comes, mana falls from heaven and he somehow manages to win out in the end. Luck has colored his view of how to deal with problems. He will fight on because fighting has always worked in the past.

It reminds me of Napoleon. He would discount talk of a new general's qualifications. Instead he wanted to know if the man was lucky. He believed that luck was an intrinsic quality of a man. Armstrong has been so very very lucky.

The thing about luck, though, is that when fate is tempted to often it eventually runs out.

The username does kind of make folks think Im him & Im sorry for the mistaken identity. Im a huge Lemond fan, so I wanted a cool name, and thought the one I used would be that, cool.

I will say I used to write him alot when i was a kid, and got a letter back once from his wife Kathy(true story). I even remember his dad Bob's old address in Carson City, NV.

In my view, the most sensible thing for Mr. Armstrong to do would be to have everything public, and get as much publicity as possible.

Media always want balance, so even if 99 "experts" agree with USADA 1 dissenting "expert" opinion is enough to cast doubt.

Viewers will see a difficult case with pros and cons and perhaps be 50-50 split on their opinion of him, while in reality the USADA might have a slam dunk case. What viewers feel in regards to Lance will in many cases be influenced by how he presents him self when they see him. Any court jostling can be left to his lawyers, and if they look stupid, that's what they get payed for.

Lance is more used to cameras than the USADA people, so that should work to his favor.

Also a public hearing can throw up all kinds of unpredictable scenarios or points of interest.

He could argue someone else made him dope. Or that everybody else doped and he was a victim of his time. Or he felt he had to show other cancer survivors that one should never give up. Things can be spun a million different ways. Depending on the day, the days evidence etc. It requires quick thinking and flexibility, but I would think Lance has some of those qualities since he managed to win the TDF 7 times without getting caught.

Who knows, a witnesses might crack while in the media spotlight. Opportunities are sure to arise to exploit the situation. The USADA might slip up in some minor detail that becomes front page news. A lot can happen.

If he goes for a private hearing, information will likely leak out in dribs and drabs anyway. The media pressure will be easy to respond to for the USADA. And the public are less likely to be exposed to the 99 to 1 scenario noted above.

The hearing process it self will likely be more cold and clinical, something which I believe would not benefit Armstrong as much as his opponents.

He will probably loose anyway, but I believe he has more of a chance in a public hearing than a closed one.

And if he looses, he will probably look better after a public hearing.

If he chooses to just accept the sanction, then I have totally misunderstood the type of character he is.

A public arbitration might not be so bad for Wonderboy. As they parade teammate after teammate who says that he did drugs with Lance he can say "See everyone was doing it"

In reality, it saddens me that Livestrong will suffer as there are some really good people who work for the organization, and I will not deny that they have helped a lot of people through one of the worst thing that you can be told.

What ****es me off is that if this is about him being a narcissistic sociopath and not about helping anyone. As you said, he could have admitted his lie and asked forgiveness, and I and many would have been willing to forgive. But he doesn't care about anyone but Lance. People with cancer are who he uses as cover for his lies. Images of cancer patients, and him using them to justify himself and berate those who called him a "doper." The problem is Wonderboy, you are a doper. He makes me want to puke.

Prediction

Lance to convert to beliefs in a single deity (not himself) a la Paris Hilton in prison and bring out a tell all book titled:

"Its not about the bike but the quality of the program."
