Cookson argued that regardless of the outcome of the team's licence, the whole case sends "a really strong, powerful signal, not just to Astana, but to other teams as well, that this has to stop; we cannot have multiple doping cases from one team in a year".

Haha, sounds Astana is going to get the license.

Let's hope so. Nibali improves the show. Besides he always proved to be clean so it would be unfair to stop him from racing. Responsibility should always be individual.

The problem with his attack was that there was no preparation. You need to thin out the pack a bit for that kind of thing to work.

Still though, yeah, what he did was much better than waiting for the Cauberg and getting a top 20.
According to Nibali, the attack with Rosa was a preparation for Fuglsang move later on.

Yep that is what he said, plus that he was stronger than he expected :). LBL awaits.

On the contrary, an enforced break from racing would be richly deserved.

Ciro Scognamiglio @cirogazzetta
Not official yet, but it seems that @AstanaTeam is likely to maintain the possibility to compete in big events of 2015 cycling calendar.

So will Nibali still participate in the Giro now?

I doubt it. He was never convinced it was a good idea. He probably only contemplated in case Astana wasn't invited to the Tour.

Thank God. Defending champs not being able to take part blows. Also, we all want to know what Nibali really can do.

:( Aru's sickness is worrying then. No good news for the race...

Not that aru would do much in the race anyways.
thats a bs.Aru is pretty impressive climber, probably would have been second best behind AC.He would have attack thats for sure :)
Don't worry, Aru is already back on his bike, he posted a pic on twitter yesterday. :)
According to Alexander Shefer he won't ride Romandie, so probably he'll just train in Sestriere with Rosa and the other guys.

He just said on Rai's Radiocorsa that he want to arrive at the TdF in best condition - thus no Giro for Nibs this year.

Meaning he'll suck ass in every other race. People can praise him in his latest 2 races but his form was still underwhelming. Couldn't even follow Wellens

So much for Martinelli's talk about the Giro-Tour double, then :)
