Nibali, Ion, Pozzovivo, Delfino, Navardauskas, Siutsou, Mohoric, Cortina wouldn't be a bad team for a TTT on paper. Can't compete with the Skys and Sunwebs of this world though.
Maybe an in shape Haussler instead of Mohoric for the cobbles and the TTT and maybe Gorka instead of Siutsou, but other than that it would be fine and a good team for the TTT/first week and the mountains.

Yeah I had Haussler in at first but then checked on Mohoric Vuelta results and, apart from his wonderful win, I realized he finished 30th in GC. Seems like he's on track to fulfill his potential and could improve further next year.

Siutsou out? According to Slongo yesterday Ion and Kosta are their biggest engines for a TTT.

Who knows, his season wasn't great, not even before the crash and Gorka is also a capable TT rider.
A fully recovered Navardauskas would also be a great asset in the TTT and on all kinds of terrain.

On Friday Nibali will have fun in Taiwan taking part in the Taiwan KOM Challenge.

If I'm not mistaken, that race goes through Takoro Gorge, which is probably one of the most beautiful roads in the world. It's really an amazing climb, both from an aesthetic and a sporting point of view. Fedaia what? Takoro Gorge is 19 kilometers of this, as part of a climb that has more than 3000 meters of elevation:

I think Nibbles will enjoy himself, even if only due to the scenery. :D

Nibali was coming into serious form towards the end of the year. Hope he can carry this on into next year. Maybe he is one of those riders who gets better with the age. If it is that so I see him with a good shot at the Tour next year. IMHO.

Amazing scenery! I've never heard of this event I don't think. I'm actually looking forward to see who wins this now and maybe Vincenzo still has some form to showcase in this event!

I hope know that Nibali have a little chance to do the TDF and if he do he will not target the GC
He should target the GC. Apart from the TTT, I see downhills and traps. Perfecto.

I agree with you but Nibali don't want to do only tle Classics next year

Am I correct that he won by 1'30"

Correct.

1. Vincenzo NIBALI (Italia) in 3.19'54"
2. Oscar PUJOL (Spagna) in 3.21'25"
3. John EBSEN (Danimarca) in 3.24'21"
4. Cameroon PIPER (Usa) in 3.24'44"
5. Edmund BRADBURY (Gran Bretagna) in 3'24'55"
6. Philip GAIMON (Usa) in 3.30'35"
7. John BREIVOLD (Norvegia) in 3.30'58"

Very controlled effort. I don't think he pushed as hard as he could. Minimum effort necessary.
When he crossed the finish line he looked like someone that had just finished a Sat social group ride and he did the shark fin celebration
