Did McNuggets ride a road bike too?
Movistar doesn't seem like such a bad team for the time trial. Or at least not to make such a drastic change.Always had huge potential in TTs. Former Danish champ and U23 WC podium. This mostly flat one suits him perfectly. And perhaps Movistar wasn't the best team in which to realize his TT potential.
If they didn't want the GT be decided in the time trial, they would have designed a route like in previous years.
Don't start seeing another anti-Remco conspiracy.
The decision was agreed upon by the teams.Looking forward to his post-race interview. He wasn't happy with the decision, maybe the adrenaline will show that during the interview
Everyone started on a road bike. That's what they agreed on.Remco on a road bike. Hilarious.
My point just was that it just looks funny.Everyone started on a road bike. That's what they agreed on.
The decision not to record times and bikes was made jointly by the teams and the organizer.
Wouldn't really call it a drastic change. He is still over half a minute behind Vacek. The bigger surprise is how rarely Norsgaard has shown his obvious TT prowess in recent years. But there aren't really that many pan-flat TTs where he can shine, either. He was raving about how Lidl-Trek is so much more professional in a recent interview, so the change is likely to be good for him in any case.Movistar doesn't seem like such a bad team for the time trial. Or at least not to make such a drastic change.
Yes. The place where riders and teams should have a say is when and where the rules are made. Not when they are being applied.riders and teams should never have a say
organiser and uci should just apply the rules
He was complaining about how bizarre the decision was not to count the times.Romeo complaining. From what I hear some riders were complaining and it probably had an effect on the neutralization?
Girmay will finish as leader after today's time trialGirmay full gas…

All time trials are not created equal. Like with our Norsgaard discussion, Vermeersch's 15 extra kgs over McNulty do mean something in a flat, windy TT. McNulty is world class in the more lumpy time trials.McNulty gave it his all, his time trial was mediocre by his standards, or now is Vermeers a better time trialist than him?![]()
