I'd start by checking on Steephill, then browse with keywords if Steephill doesn't have a link. There has to be Portuguese TV, therefore live streaming somewhere. I shall not be denied  .

It's Kwait vs. Contador IMO. Maybe Pinot who have improved his time trial a lot. The course is pretty easy. Enough for Tony Martin and LLS to be a factor. Cancellara should try to go for the overall as well.

It's Uran's first race. Thomas is set to peak a little later for Paris-Nice and Tour of Flanders I think. Purito will neither be in good shape before T-A, so Machado will be Katusha's leader. Aru really didn't really look at his best in Valencia.

Race thread in february has 4 pages a week before it starts. If I didn't know Contador was riding Algarve I would've known then.

Oh and Kwiatkovski will win, I mean, he's riding for Sky, sudden unexplainable superb climbing form incoming, duuh
Kwiatkowski beat Contador in 2014. It's possible he will beat him again this year, but if he could also hang onto Contador uphill that would be strange. Let's also not forget Thomas.
For Contador it is good that Astana is bringing Aru and Rosa.
in a one off MTF it wouldn't be strange

Alto do Malhão isn't exactly Alpe d'Huez. It's a Kwiatkovski-climb.

Don't expect him to be the best there too, two years ago Contador and Costa did better and last year it was Porte.

He will fly and kill babies

I've read that he's never previously trained at altitude before joining Sky. Can you imagine what he will be like once he's been up to Teide with Sky a couple of times? I can't wait.

I think this race is Contador vs Thomas&Kwiatek vs LottoNL Jumbo. The clash of the titans.

Landa has been at El Teide with Astana multiple times. He joined Aru and Scarponi for their altitude camp prior to the 2014 Giro d'Italia.

Not everyone reacts well from training at altitude by the way...Plus nearly all pros have been at altitude at some stage esp if they have ridden for the big teams

I think its between Contador, Uran & Kwait... with Contador winning

I am not sure Thomas is in top form yet after his wedding/honeymoon....he certainly didn't look it at TDU

Superman has entered the startlist, dont know if it is true as he didnt mention algarve in his schedule in an interview a while back. But if he is in it will be nice to see how he can do in the ITT (and see how much he loses to the big boys) and of course it will be great to see him beat everyone on the climbs ;).

You're forgetting Aru and especially Pinot... I think the latter will be closest to Contador if Kwiat falters uphill and Thomas isn't in top shape as you say (I wouldn't know).

I saw it too and wondered if it is not too close to Lankawi which starts only three days after Algarve finishes.

He got married towards the end of October ...so that is 3 months not 4
I think its not just the honeymoon per se but the stag. wedding , honeymoon, christmas ...this is just my observation...can take a bit longer to get to top form

Tough it didn't stop Richie Porte who got married at the same time ....however he seems to have married a fitness specialist ...so maybe they went to a boot camp on their honeymoon :D

I am not forgetting them ....The TT makes the difference and hence why I think they won't podium though both better climbers than Kwait & Uran
