I thought Remco might have gone too deep yesterday, but to win against a fresher ITT world champion shows he can recover and be at his best.

I'm not totally convinced he'll be able to hang with the best climbers in the toughest GT stages but knowing he can take back minutes in an ITT is going to win him a lot of stage races.

Dominance is not good for the sport.
On one hand I really agree with this sentiment. On the other hand, I'm not gonna wait until he roflstomps high mountain stages before I call boredom for the next 15 years.

Evenepoel is an elite ITTer, that bit is nothing new. However, the gaps aren't actually as big as you'd might expect and if his presence means others have to attack, it could be good for the races.

Did Dennis have some sort of problem early in the TT, or was he just riding very conservatively at the beginning? After 5.7km, he was 12 seconds behind Kung, and 21 behind Evenepoel, and made up 21 and 12 seconds respectively thereafter.

Lost by Dennis rather than won by Evenepoel?

I've just had another look at the profile of stage 20 in the Giro and was wondering if Remco could smash em all in the ITT the next day? If he has given up early in the race on GC to concentrate on stage wins then yes. This Giro should be a learning curve for him, not to be involved in GC just because he can TT like a god. I don't think he could make up enough time against seasoned GT climbers to defend in the high mountains but I look forward to being proved wrong.
