24 atm according to volta Catalunya official site. I think that Carapaz and Higuita wil pay a heavy price for the effort they are making atm just to get those 3 and 2 seconds bonus

Very disappointing that Træen dropped here, I was hoping he was one that liked bad weather.

Yeah probably. It was good that Plapp was there for sure. Nonetheless this group of two is a bit two small.

If two other guys would have been there it would be better. But indeed if Hindley and the Ineos guys can make an attack to thin down the chasing group a bit it could be very interesting.

I expect the majority to be way behind. Unpleasant weather and rolling terrain doesn't scream big bunch.

Remember that the majority of the dropped riders dropped 30-40 km ago and it's been decent pace in the leaders group all the way to keep Carapaz / Higuita within range, so who knows how far behind they are. Maybe some would rejoin, but unless Carapaz/Higuita sits up UAE need to keep the pace in main group and it will be hard to rejoin.

They won't do anything, they will just rest in the peloton, Carapaz is on the break. All the effort must be made by UAE to chase the break.
