Finishing straight too short. Third position was not a good place to be. Remco could have taken the turn a bit more narrowly, I think.

Remco looked imperious but the fact that he didn't ride them off his wheel probably tells more than his appearance.

Seriously different riders come of age at different rates. It’s not like this guy has been pack fodder. We all knew he was a supremely talented climber.

Ciccone rode this one with lots of confidence. On Landa's wheel when Bahrain upped the pace, afterwards on Remco's. He was clearly marking the favourites today. Maybe a bit passive, but it's not like we saw many other guys attack today.

Generally you wouldn't think Roglic needs many meters to win a sprint like that. Ciccone might have just been better.
