There was definitely slow down in the end to celebrate. Looked very much like he was going in to a headwind without anyone to take turns with.

He did 6.7 w/kg in the first 20/22 minutes of petrano, and in the last 5 minutes/2 km, he slowed down a bit, no need to go deep.

But if you look at him he is going hard, spitting and shaking his head. It also looked like "heavy" going. I still think headwind, but could be he just slowed down in the end.

I don't know fi this is a hot take, but I would actually like if Catalunya had a 15-20km length ITT instead of one of the sprint stages. Nobody would care if this race had 0 sprints, they only serve 3rd choice sprinters anyway.

15km hilly one like Romandie does sometimes.

I agree about the sprint stages, it's just cheap WT wins for certain riders. Could also make them more attractive for breakaways.
