It's not the most imposing climb, but it's inconsistent - a few steep km then a flat/descent, then another couple of steep km, then another flat/descent, that kind of climb. Last time it created some half decent gaps, although often there are small gaps when raced in the Vuelta a Aragón.

Leonardo Piepoli will come out of retirement for this one if true. He's won here about twelvety times.

There have been some road works to make the climb easier since it was last visited.

I miss Piepoli and Saunier Duval in general :(

Words which will probably never be said about Garmin-Slipstream-Transitions-Cannondale-Sharp-Barracuda.

I miss Saunier too :(

More rumours from local news sites:

León won't host a mountain stage but a stage departure with finish in Asturias. Yes, you will read Gamoniteiro. I just don't believe it.
Galicia will probably host 2 stages.
There will be a mountain block in the Pyrenees, but it isn't clear from the way it's written if it will be the last one. So we don't know yet if the race will travel clockwise or counter-clockwise.

The Vuelta will skip Galicia in 2015 to return in 2016.

Apart from that, the article states that the 2015 course is well advanced but gives very few hints. The race will be back in Andorra, probably in Valencia, and there won't be MTFs in Angliru, Covadonga or Bola del Mundo.

I think these are good news... I love Bola del Mundo, Covadonga and Angliru, ot course much more than Andorra or Cerler, but you cant repeat same things year by year.

We will see if there is the same scheme or there is something new.

Flat TT of 35-40 km and with the TT to start I wonder if we are looking at the most TT km's since 2009. Froome will like this a lot.

2010 and 2011 long ITTs were longer than that (46km and 47km respectively). Don't expect the first TT to be longer than 15km.

So Gallina twice + another climb as MTF?This is good.

Not going to be Canolich then... what would be best MTF after La Gallina? I'd argue Llac d'Engolasters, but that's less likely. If it's one of the Vallnord climbs, I make the assumption Pal is most likely, Arinsal would be better. I like Arinsal. La Rabassa is also a possibility but is perhaps too long and difficult to make Gallina the key climb.

Personally,I hope for La Rabassa but I think they will go for Col de Pal.
