I don't think Sky would be at all unhappy to lose the jersey. If MK, or another Sky rider, has even the slightest chance of going all the way he needs to save his doms for when they're really needed.
Even if they don't, they're wasting energy that could be used winning stages.

Trentin is in the break, if they are allowed to stay away and it comes down to a sprint finish, he would be my pick
Bauke Mollema is in there, proper climber capable of a breakaway on the final climb. With Mollema 9 minutes back on the red jersey, so that kind of puts an upper limit on the amount of time the peloton would allow to string out here
If Trentin is in shape he won't have any problem, last year with a climb harder than today ones he dropped riders like Soler, LL Sanchez, Geniez, Roson, De Marchi en route to win stage 10.
The problem is that he didn't look good at all in the first stages, two days ago was dropped by a 100+ man and there was Quick-Step for Viviani in front of the group.

Boy am I happy that I don't have to listen to Kirby today.
Kelly: "If you're 5 to 7kg heavier, it will always benefit you when you're descending"

Kirby: "I am a killer descender"
