as the time trial is labeled as an ITT instead of a prologue, I'd guess they'll start with stage 3.Does anyone know if the new stages will be called stage 1, 2 and 3 or stage 3, 4 and 5 ?

I don’t know the details of the Spanish protests, have the farmers in question protested unlawfully or is it only a matter of draining police resources (lawfully)?Just cancel it entirely then. This is beyond stupid.
0 empathy with people who think they're above the law and think that disrespecting people that have nothing to do with it is the way too show that they feel disrespected themselves.
It should suit Tiberi a lot.
Looking at the field, it's also a golden opportunity for Steimle to start life at Q36.5 with a bang.

anyone have profils?
Ive only seen the TT one. It's like first 2km at 5.5ish%, then a flat part followed by a 3-4% ophill last km (last 700m technical on cobbles).

especially the 1st km seems hard, the last 4 km less hard
a good Wellens and Ayuso could take time on a Campenaerts, Haig, BuitragoI wouldn't say it's hard. There's a short 8% part in it, but on average the first 2km are in between 5 and 6% it looks like. Enough to make a difference tho.
this is what I found, but no idea if those routes are official - as they come from Veloviewer, probably yes.

Food is very important to all of us.At this point, just end this charade and call the whole thing off entirely. Or nuke some farmers into orbit, I'd be okay with that too.
Riding on the Via Salaria outdide Rome over the weekend I came across a brigade of tractors in protest with "Fook the EU" banners and "Without Agriculture We Have No Food" on their machines.Food is very important to all of us.
Farming in Europe (in and out of the EU) has a serious issue with its requirement to meet strict environmental regulations that don't apply to many other countries.
Produce grown outside of Europe is legally allowed to be imported and as a consequence of the regulations diferental the price undercuts European grown.
Farmers are asking for a level playing field.
it actually is indeed stage 3 they start with, though:Looks like Eurosport/Discovery+ have taken upon themselves to declare it stages 1-3.
Agriculture is more or less a state financed business model in Europe. On average, around half of the incomes come from state subsidies. Which obviously go hand in hand with demands in regards to climate protection, animal welfare, etc, but all this bureaucracy comes with problems for smaller farmers. The part I don’t get and this might be an European thing but why is it taking so long to resolve the issues with the farmers?
I assume you don't have a problem with roads being closed, at considerable annoyance to "innocent" locals, for bike races to happen.Lol there's a difference to a peaceful protest and blocking roads. They can protest all they want, just don't try to ruin the days of people who have nothing to do with it.
And no it has nothing to do with disrespecting "any kind of collective labor protests". I have exactly the same opinion with people who protest for Palestine of BLM or climate or whatever. Protest all you want, in a peacefull way, but don't do it by annoying "innocents" on purpose.

You really need to look at local press/social media when a bike race or closed roads sportif is planned: our sport is deeply unpopular among those who don't enjoy it.
I don't think you can open an area of debate and then declare that no-one can talk about it any more.
