A) Surely they’ll have to hand in the trophy to change the dates on them.

B) Nice to see cycling finally taking steps towards a season-long narrative with a spring-prologue to the late season Chrono des Nations in place now.

Considering you've made a few of these comments this week, you are not able to see on pictures when somebody is "heavier" than in another picture? Just as a test, are you able to see the difference here, or would that be impossible for you?

Well I'm like the transformed Jack Black in Shallow Hal; I don't see people's real weights. But still kudos to Benji Naesen for managing to slim down.

I thought it was Samu Cuenca being funny.

Considering your "6 kg overweight" (a joke, but still) of Evenepoel, and the fact that you keep claiming that Evenepoel was a lot heavier at the start of the Vuelta 23 then the Vuelta 22 (?) or the Giro 23 (?) confirms that you urgently need to go to the ophthalmologist..... and/or learn to analyze better, and/or try to get more and better background or insider information. Moreover, Evenepoel's many performances during the Vuelta 23, especially in the mountains, prove that he certainly did not start with more than 1 kg overweight. That one bad day had nothing to do with being overweight.

I can only explain it so many times and clearly it is lost on you.

UCI will have a special meeting to tackle the whole Ruta del Sol - UCI points debate. At Lotto Dstny they are pretty sure they definitely won't give out the full amount of points.

If Tour of Britain was full points in 2022, I don't think you can defend reducing this one to less than a one-day race (which gives the same points as the GC of a stage race for ProSeries races).

TOB did finish 5 out of 7 stages - There is also the precedent of the 2020 UAE tour in which they finished 5 out of 7 stages - But this is different because they only completed one stage in Ruta Dal Sol an ITT, which was not on the original profile.

Also, there are several ProSeries stage races that by design are 5 stages; this very race was supposed to have been five stages. Five stages is still a stage race.
There has never been - and I dare say there never will be again - a 5 KM ProSeries stage race.

I would argue that stopping a stage race before the important GC races meaning no one actually raced for it id way worse than deciding your GC by ona hill climb (cauwe thats basically what it was) where actually everyone went full gas. The best riders (a pro quality field) went h2h and everyone knew it was decisive.

Awful, awful decision, as I said previously this amounts to a double punishment. If I was a team who really cares about these points, I would sue, and expect to win given that there is nothing in the UCI rules on handing out stage but not GC points.

Robbery. Only one tenth of a ProSeries one-day race (which too could be an ITT).

It's not like teams and riders only showed up for one day. The opportunity cost to participate was greater than for a one-day race.

Murcia: 125 points
Almeria: 200 points
Jaén: 125 points

Stuck three days (and I don't think anyone raced the following two days either) to race a 2.Pro stage race: 20 points

Are people seriously mad a 5 day stage race that got reduced to literally less than 1% of it's original distance isn't getting awarded full points?
That it got awarded 10 % of a one-day race of the same category despite taking up (de facto) 5 days in the calendar for the participants?

Yes? They still raced, knowing fully well it was the stage that mattered. You just get punished twice. Already missing the race and probably losing form is one thing, not getting rewarderd for still trying is stupid.

Van Gils literally missed his flights (he was going to race Alpes Maritimes) because he had to go to a podium and a doping control for what now just is a fake race. What are they? Monkeys in a circus act?

And no to me they didnt deserve full points. But just the points of a stage win? That's ridiculous.

Where does it say that Andalucia is a 1.pro race?

Rellevance?

Where is the rule that the UCI can just decide to not give out points?

It's either a stage race and then you have a GC or it's a one day race. No stage race without a GC. That doesn't exist.;They litterally got less points than u23 races or .2 races and you don't understand why people are mad lmao.
