At least it will make it so that Bahrain for example needs to make it really hard cause that TT isn't gonna suit their riders I think.
It should suit Tiberi a lot.

Looking at the field, it's also a golden opportunity for Steimle to start life at Tudor with a bang.

Just checked if they go up the steep road it's still around 5km at 7% (and with a km at 9-10% in the end), that seems pretty hard if they just go full from the bottom and make previous laps hard enough. Thats like 1900 altitudemeters in 100km. That stage seems to be an improvement compared to the previous one.

Really wonder if it will be a TT on normal road bikes cause I don't think they can expect everyone to get a TT bike there in like 30 hours.

Will the 5 km time trial be completely flat or would there be a Spanish bump of 600 at 7%?
Checking what Alcaudete looks like... yeah, maybe even more than that

The ITT starts at the old train station and uses the same finish as planed for stage 2. So it should be constantly uphill, sth like 5k at around 4% average, with the final part on cobbles.

this sounds perfect for Tim Wellens especially with the cobbles

The old train station, where is it exactly? Cause it looks like that's not the same last 5km as what wouldve been tomorrows stage right?

It looks like it starts with a steeper km (5.5%, with 9% parts), than some flatter parts and in the end it goes up with 4-5%, partly on the cobbles. It looks more "rampy" than the original 5km 3-4% drag.

it's in the western outskirts of the city, "antigua estación del ferrocarril" (source for this to be the start: https://www.facebook.com/AyuntamientoAlcaudete/ ).

Dunno how to easily get rid of the one way roads, so I just mapped it from the finish to the start quickly:

Edit: There's no confirmation that they will join the original race route on from the roundabout, but I would guess it's likely.

I wonder if teams are allowed to swap out their roster before the race actually starts now then since the opportunity to ride a prologue length ITT could appeal to certain riders.

By putting the route thing on walking.

Ok yeah this is what I thought it was. Looks pretty interesting honestly. Definitely possible to make some difference on it.

Can Van Aert switch from Portugal to this as he would be the favourite to win GC if he was here?

Timely reminder not to eat over-fertilised Spanish food. I don't know about anyone else but I find the exported Spanish fruits and veg very tasteless.,

apparently the final stage will be a completely flat 100k city crit now. Satuday's stage has even 7 climbs, though, so the circuit must be shorter, and consequently it's even harder than expected
