Ha ha Harmon. That's what happens when you watch the clock and not the race.
Jaochim Rodriguez seems to have picked up, where he left off in the Tour.
A very dangerous man for the GC, given the climbs in this Vuelta.
Gilbert displays what he does better than anyone else.

Gilbert!

NIce stage win for Gilbert, a well timed kick on a long hot day. Good vindication for a guy with a less than stellar Spring. Well done!

As I said before, the stage was going to be a 5-minute race. Thanks to the organizers.

Arthur Vichot 10th...legend! :D

Team Sky had two guys in the main bunch today in a stage that included a mountain, so great success for them, although they lost 2 guys!

Thought Gilbert may have gone a little bit early, so strong though!

I guess I was half wrong about Rodriguez too.

The gaps are huuuge for this sort of finish

i was just gonna write the same, crazy how much the first group lost to Gilbert and also Rodriguez over just 1,8k at 5%.

Definitely, after last nights shenanigans that's good effort, was it nordhaug along with lofkvist?

Yep. I have to say I feel really sorry for their bad luck though, wasn't exactly good timing for half the team to get sick now when they needed to show something in this vuelta. I heard Simon Gerrans is sick too so there goes their best bet for a stage win, unless he manages to recover.

Would like to see kennaugh or nordhaug get in breaks and go for win
