Everyone moaning about Movistar, but 1) can't be a coincidence they had a full team in front at the time the crash happened, just before the open roads, and 2) No-one mentions the quicksteppers or Pogacar who obviously were going for it as well.

By lottery do you mean... exciting?

Not crashing, making great split second decisions and knowing how to deal with chaotic situations are skills that should necessary to make a great bike RACER

Cycling there days is mostly atrociously boring and people still wonder why no one watches and why there is no money involved.
if racing would be done like this than also some "help" to crash would start happening; hit the breaks a bit to soon, eh *** happens, its racing

Cant help but think Valverde could have won this race given how bad Roglic is at echelons riding. 2 missed opportunities, basically.

What Movistar did may have been unsportsmanlike, but what everybody else did to get back was illegal and it's a travesty that it's allowed.

Indeed.

I agree. The problem is though that there’s no remedy if the race officials told the riders they were allowed to. You can’t tell people it’s ok to come back following cars and then apply the rule against following cars. The race officials are to blame if that happened.

did you just start watching cycling today ? its been done so since forever and only a real scum team does what Banesto did today
Sky did it to Valverde in Vuelta 2012, and in the Tour 2013 together with Jumbo and Saxo.

The poor set upon Froome and Sky/Ineos. So persecuted and unfairly treated by the masses. The world is so cruel.
I think this is the same Froome who partially won the 2015 Tour because Quintana refused to join Nibali when Nibali attacked during Froome's mechanical.

Which was uphill on an HC from a 10 man peloton.

Roglic was cut in an echelon in the Tour de France a year before. He was the only big GC cyclist caught behing. If this continue like this then all the big guns will take advantage of this everytime they can.

Refuse to contribute to the break (at least since TV pics have been on) and then attack. Not for me

I find the dynamics of a break interesting. At some point each rider has to decide how it's going to play out. You can pull the whole race and get nothing to show for it. Still plenty of time for this to come together at the finish, which is going to be carnage, I predict...
