Soler going really well today and will likely climb a few places today.

I wonder why Sosa has been so bad in this Vuelta. He starts to give me an impression of eternal promise.

Has a had a pretty anonymous season all together.

Anglirú tomorrow. That's the problem really. The exact same stage could produce vastly more aggressive racing from them if Anglirú was yesterday and there was a rest day tomorrow, but as it is it's secondary and tertiary contenders who are most active, and I'm sure if they fight out the stage here, Soler and Gaudu will lose any gains they make - and more - tomorrow, which is why the main contenders are content to have a 3km shootout and preserve their strength for tomorrow.

Anglirú stages will be raced the same whatever day they're held on because the MTF is so tough, whereas this stage will be raced very differently depending on where it falls in the race, which is why some of us wanted the stages flipped.

I'm of the opinion if you're feeling strong today, try something, especially when you have the team strength to do it like Jumbo do. If you see a crack that you can capitalise on then you go. As it is, if Carapaz is feeling bad, Roglic and Jumbo won't even realise it as they haven't tested him. They've seen what happens on one stage when they're feeling a bit poorer like on the TT and on Formigal.

Well at least the third tier riders are going to give it a try with 2k left to go...

Jumbo is going to do it again. Trying to protect Roglics position instead of trying to gain time. Looks like they did not learn a thing. Would be hilarious if he finishes 2nd again.

A wonderful day where I've started at the forum and my phone more than the riding.

Gaudu and Soler can't believe their luck, getting to ride steady and even look at each other rather than being hunted down

George Bennett has clearly shed everybody that he's going to shed but Jumbo won't expend him and have Kuss take it up, this is Grand-Colombier all over again.

At least this time with Anglirú tomorrow there's an excuse.

The "peloton" hasn't raced any faster than the leading two, who aren't really pressing the pace too much either.

Yup, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. If he lost it again, I'd laugh at him like I did that wonderful Saturday
