I'm pretty sure they're all terrible apart from Roglic who's one of the best in the world on the parcours they're given.
Carapaz did decently in San Marino ITT in Giro. And Mas did decently in Planches des Belles Filles ITT too. But yes, Roglic should take big time in all unless he's massively fatigued/has a bad day.

I honestly don't consider Mas for the GC win anymore.

But for Carapaz I'd been specifically looking for the intermediate splits of the San Marino ITT, because I'm pretty sure Roglic put over a minute into Carapaz on the flat first 20km. Carapaz got 3rd on the KOM that stage (should've a glaringly red signal he was flying) and he still lost 1'55 to Roglic.

oh hey, just 5 jumbos in the top 18 of the stage again, despite being 2 of them working and then having no reason to ride hard after their work was done
Bennett got dropped so early but then seemed to fight with all his power to finish as close to the front group as possible. Strange.

Mas still has a gap, but he’s a better TTer than Carapaz, but Richard will put in a solid ride on Tuesday. Mas should put a minute at least into Dan Martin unless Martin rides the TT of his life. Carthy hasn’t been great in TTs, he put in a very good TT in the first one at the Giro last year.

I expect Roglic to have a cushion over the rest of them after Tuesday though.

I love La Vuelta. Great stage.

Congrats to Carthy. It's incredible how inefficient his climbing style was but he still won at the end. Carapaz tried but it wasn't enough to put more time into Roglic, who limited his losses and is one step closer to winning the Vuelta. There is only one more dangerous climb and a TT on tuesday, when he should put over a minute into Carapaz.

Without Kuss, Roglic probably loses a minute today.

I don't think so. On such big gradients holding wheel doesn't help physically, every rider has to overcome gradient by himself. It's easier mentally ofc. Maybe he would have lost 15-20 seconds more.

It seemed he had trouble spinning the gears in some places, so I wonder why they didnt put on an easier gear on his bike.
I agree, but he’s not a cadence climber like Martin or Froome. I’d have been riding a 34 in the back. Or even a 44...

The overall is between Roglic and Carapaz. However there are still 3 riders capable of getting that last podium spot.

I could see Mas putting in a decent bit of time on Carapaz, Carthy and Martin in the TT. Roglic will put in a chunk on all 4.

However Mas is the only one with a strong team around him that those stages after Tuesday, they could do something
