I bet Froome is regretting gifting the win on Angliru to Contador a few years ago now. It was a nice gesture, but given what's happened since, he may never be in shape to win on it again.
No, Froome doesn't regret now or didn't years ago , he knew Contador was completely over and he would like to give him a gift.

The "craziest" climb I wanna see is Passo di Tremalzo from Limone. Mainly because I think it's steep in the right quantity, the scenery is gorgeous, and because you can descend into a decent amount of options

A tactical rather than competitive break.
They'll need to build a solid gap, regardless.

Steep Kuss girlfriend left him, citing she suspected he was cheating with a girl with the weird name 'Scanuppia'
I had to google it...:eek::eek: Some Czech dude did a nice short video clip... He really is a glutton for suffering... Btw, he also climbed the Pozza San Glisente climb;) He doesn't say anything important, just basic stats but both clips give you a great idea what the road is and how steep it is:

Feel bad for Sean Kelly having to say Angliru a lot today, sometimes your accent just isn't conditioned to make certain sounds, Danish lad at work tries to teach me a few words sometimes, usually terms of abuse, I know how they sound like in my head, just can't get them out of my mouth.

It looks like lots of sprinters made into the break... Trying to get ahead and not end up OTL, I guess...

I don't think it's paved from the lake side and on a very quick youtube look seems rather difficult to do on a road bike

Personally I'm happy to leave these roads for the locals (most of whom I assume are farmers), MTBers and occasional nutters like this guy. From an outside perspective investing in improving these insane "roads" that would be 4wd tracks at best pretty much anywhere outside Europe seems insane.

In 1999, when this climb was held for the first time David Millar refused to cross the line and withdrew a few meters before the finish. There were protests of riders and team leaders that it was inhumane. Nowadays it's largely accepted as the climax of a normal Vuelta.

We'll have to see whether Gary Imlach or Ned Boulting challenge him on how his opinion on that has changed in the ITV4 show later.

Considering the Angry Lou will make a natural selection, I guess some will regret not giving it a go yesterday.
That was the idea behind this weekend design, I think.

Just give up and call it the Angry Loo.

Just have a Vuelta start in Bavaria und have a Nebelhorn unipublic stage on the 3rd day.
If Rojas was in charge we'd probably get an opening prologue in Nürnberg, a sprint stage finishing in München ahead of the Bürgerbräukeller and a Kehrsteinhaus mft.
Of course a Vuelta designed by him would have to feature a Valle de los Caidos stage as one of the final gc stages...
