Anybody who wants to win this stage needs to drop Aranburu for good on the climb. Descent and sprint are in his favor (unless Trentin has his 2017 legs, but doesn't seem likely).

Cort has become more of a climber now, but for me he would still not be hopeless in sprint vs Aranburu.

Nice breakaway composition with a couple of fast finishers in Trentin/Aranburu, at least half dozen guys who are climbing well and some more all round riders who will need to attack from farther out to contend.

Clearly the best team here. Although Guillaume Martin is only 30 seconds behind, if he drops Odd Christian Eiking on the climb he can even win the jersey.

If he remembers to zip his jersey, then he might not lose too much time, but it will be very hard for him to win if he's dropped before the top of the climb.

I think 3 minutes is still fine. I am just waiting for another occasion when handing over the jersey actually backfires.
