He also has to survive a harder climb, so if he has a couple of stronger riders with him, he might not be as big a favourite anymore.

And now that the breakaway consists of both a high number of riders and high quality guys, I think he's in an okay position, although his team is very visible in the chase.

If he remembers to zip his jersey, then he might not lose too much time, but it will be very hard for him to win if he's dropped before the top of the climb.

He's an OK descender but his lack of mass means gravity doesn't benefit him as much as a larger rider. He's also not the strongest rouleur, to put it mildly, so he can't really stay away on flats, faux or otherwise. But on paper he's the strongest pure climber in the break, I think.

This is actually a nice climb. But with a relatively easy buildup it may not be decisive for the GC group.

But that won't benefit him on this climb. Storer looks mighty strong

Obviously in great shape, but making the right moves at the right times.

Hope team DSM takes better care of Storer than others, otherwise we might see him go to somewhere like Ineos or UAE.
