That was actually a positive post. There's no need for a sawtooth stage here, as stage 20 is that and for pacing purposes a transitional stage is fine here. But if the race has hosts willing to pay around this area, then a great stage is possible in the near future. Hence the "that can only be a good thing" bit.

Absolutely - BEX rode for 30kms alone, then DSM did the same, then BEX rode alone for 20kms - They only rode together for the last 15 kms - Demare was in the peleton, yet no FDJ rider helped - Again a strange situation !

Now that was a cracker by Craddock.
Cannot remeber when last time witnessing a breakaway with that kind of will with only 20 secs to the sprinter teams with 12k's to go.

I don't agree. They didn't get very close and they were all completely knackered. That breakaway group was insanely strong.

Nieve is no certainty to be in the peleton in 2022 - Mixed messages about whether he planned to retire, but the bottom line is BEX have failed to offer him a contract.
