Valverde crashing out obviously screwed Movistar’s plan for the day. It’s still early and there is a long way to go.

Mas looks really strong, and without Valverde here, it’s time he shed his crutch. I don’t get what Ineos is doing though. Bernal doesn’t look great but it looks like they aren’t strong enough to ride Mas, Lopez, and Roglic off their wheels, and Bernal is an average TTer.
