hmm. What has Jonas ever done without Kuss at his side?
Maybe Jonas wins because nobody dares to attack him with Sepp lurking at his side.
Last i remember Jonas racing against top guys without Kuss he was getting murdered by Pog at Paris-Nice
Maybe you should watch some footage and actually relate to the facts and his winning stages in Dauphine 2023 and Tour de France 21, 22, 23..
He is a stage race ride. as we saw in Dauphine and 2021, 2022, and 2023 Tour de France, where he seems to recover the best, just as we see now in Vuelta, but sure I will play along, it's hmm Sepp Kuss that carries him here in Vuelta and why he is stronger?.. c'mon you really see what you wanna see, huh?.. fascinating level of make-believe.
I recon Sepp Kuss is very grateful that Jonas as captain greenlit & allowed him to go out in a breakaway on stage6 with all these other riders, and the breakaway that landed Kuss +3min, as otherwise Kuss would not have seen all that spotlight, and instead be at P6 atm.
YouTube can recollect your memory if you really can't recall the decisive big-stage wins..
I think the answer is obvious, Are Jonas stronger than Sepp Kuss here in Vuelta.. so far quite obvious as Jonas has managed to land more than 2½ minutes on Sepp Kuss in these stages, and Vingegaard would be minutes ahead of Kuss if they were combatants at different teams..
Should 3-week Grand Tours be gifted as a "gift" from a stronger captain.. no way it would make a mockery of these lesser Grand Tours.. the strongest rider for the win, this aint small kids, that needs to be nursed,- let them battle it out, lucky for Kuss that he got +3 minutes headstart on his captain, as otherwise, he would be hard lock to Roglic, and Vingegaards interests.?
Just as we saw today where they both outclimbed Kuss and Kuss had full acceptance to go if he could, all 3 riders had no strings on the final climb according to Jumbo Visma's tactic today..
IMO strongest rider for the win...- if SeppKuss manages to hold it in tomorrow's stage, impressive... but what a joy for us all, that its even up for debate.. that is what we wanna see.. cycling-drama and riders fighting for Grand Tour win (at least what I wanna see, as who wins in the end, nahh who cares.. doesn't mean jack, when the Vuelta is over, it's all about the content on the fly.
Same with Tour de France.. who f'ing cares if it is Pogacar or Vingegaard that wins the Tour at the end of the day?
I cheered for Pogacar before the final stages (16, 17) as they were so close, and Pogacar had been able to outsprint Jonas... and Jonas had already got so much spotlight with all the days he had in yellow., so my sense of fairness, found it more appropriate if Pogacar then got the TdF win, in the last week, as they both deserved it equally with a minor gain in my view to Pogacar for his exciting stage-finishes.. but stage16 and 17 flipped that belief 180*, after Jonas was, in fact, quite a bit stronger.
The same for one-day races. if it's Remco or Pogacar gets another classicer.. it doesn't mean jack, it's all about the content while it's unfolding, that should decide who is the worthy winner and who delivers most to the race., and not all the secondaries..solely their performance is what matters.
Now we at least have an expected battle on l’Angliru, it would be a shame if such a legendary climb was only a plateau for 2-1-3 parading because of speculative team tactics.
