Meh it's just all a bit weird. If Kuss wins it will still feel like it was a gift. You can't convince me Vingegaard couldn't have gone 10s faster today he looked very easy the whole way.
Agree 99.5%. He was holding back, possibly on team orders. If he takes 10 seconds tomorrow and red I would not be surprised at all.

In regards to the Jumbo dominance I dont like to see it either, but Kuss is really the only outlier here... the fact that Vingegaard and a version of Roglic that doesnt crash every other stage can toy with Mas, Ayuso and, yes im gonna say it, Evenepoel should hardly come as a surprise to anyone that likes and knows cycling well enough to post on this forum. Kuss making it look so much worse is fair enough though, allthough even he doesnt seem to have an outlandish never before seen peak all of the sudden hes just more consistent than ever before.

It may be a little weird but I understand him. I think starting with today's stage (as was mentioned by the team) that whoever was strongest would win. He'd like Sepp to win but he has to earn it by being able to keep up with the best. I'm fine with it even if I'd like to see him win.
Of course Sepp's job has been to help them out and keep them out of trouble, which he has done incredibly well at. It seems that this is not reciprocated. What evs

I don't get it. I genuinely find this situation really, really interesting. Of course it's bad for the sport that Jumbo dominate this much but then, instead of just holding hands, they all choose to play politics. Saying some things, doing other things. It's really unpredictable but after all, they all seem to actually race for the win rather than fix it - they just don't want to tell anyone that that's what they're doing.

Vingegaard and Roglic are trying to race for the win without making it look like they've tried to race for the win I believe, problem is nobody seems to be buying it. Situation requires a well respected DS to put his foot down at this point I think.

Why?

He and Sepp spoke Spanish to each other at the end of the interview.
Just rewatched - this is just not a professional interview.
This is a question???
'We are here with Sepp Kuss. Red Jersey. Today started with a breakaway. But you continue fighting'

uh. yeah. we just watched it. Is this a question?

Maybe he's good in Spanish, I am not trying to mock his English. But there should be
some journalistic responsibility to ask questions and educate the viewers.

How about "What did u say on the radio when Rog and JV attacked you"
Or anything about the crapshow team dynamic

They slowed down? Yeah, right.
Why, you think Vingeggard or Roglic were going full? They were 25 seconds ahead at a point and then Landa started getting time back after getting dropped and finished around 17-18 seconds ahead . You wont see this type of clownery in a circus...

So Roglic and Vingegaard attack Kuss, Kuss says something on the radio to his TD and then they slow down and keep the gap at around 20 seconds for Sepp to hold on to his jersey and you find this " interesting". Interesting...
The proper thing was not to keep the gap as 20 seconds, but to stay with Sepp and pace him up the climb, exactly what he did to both of them in the Giro and Tour. This isn't rocket science, Madtthebadtakes.

I am yet to see a journalist ask the following question directly to anyone involved with Jumbo:

"Why did Roglic keep riding when Kuss was dropped?"

It seems like the journalists are too polite.

Lol, do you think it's a PlayStation game?

I doubt the real gap was as high as it was shown on the screen. Plus you could see how hard Roglic went even on the flat.

Well yeah obviously as a viewer I hope they don't and it continues to kick off, imo the best rider should win a race of this prestige, but objectively to the Jumbo Visma brand and team chemistry it's probably better to hand Kuss the win at this point. The generous domestique having his moment in the sun, winning a GT with 3 separate riders is a much better story to tell than the 'stab in the back' narrative that will be put forward otherwise.

It's sick that the main discussion in one of the biggest races of the year is about which of 3 riders on the same team deserves to win it. It's like arguing about which Real Madrid or PSG player should take the penalty to make it 9-0 in a match. Broken sport.

i dunno, to me it seems like Kuss does not want to win as a gift. i didnt see anything wrong today, maybe Jonas should've waited for him after yesterday, but you cant help much on the Angliru anyway.

i think Kuss will attack tomorrow and the other 2 will sit on wheels.

Good, turn all the anglos against Jonas/TJV

Tbh they've already annoyed the British after the Fred Wright comments last year, a completely unforced error that interview was. The Yanks are going nuts on social media now. Australia is next, watch Van Aert chop Matthews as he's about to win San Remo next year.
