Vinjebo actually had a pretty good theory:
Yesterday was the "final test"; if he kept the jersey, they'll ride for him.
That's actually what I was thinking; it's not without merit.

That said, today was just really disheartening to watch on every front; no joy in it for me.

That was actually a worse final mountain stage than that of the 2020 Tour. Equally boring breakaway action and even worse 'racing' from the peloton. I'm impressed, tbh.
Depending on how much you mind Vingegaard's antics, Morzine '16 is still in the lead.

Vingegaard has no problem giving kuss the vuelta. He just wanted to show that even without his shape of the tour, he can be better than Roglic, and assured that Roglic doesn't won this race. There's clearly conflict between the two.

I think this is the dynamic. Vinge willing let a loyal domestique get some glory, but no way was Vingle going to hold back if Roglic went for it.

Jumbo "everyone is free to race" Visma.

But i also think it's almost more fair this way then giving a massive advantage to the guy that attacks first

Well, I think literally everybody involved should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves for that pathetic show.

Maybe Kuss shouldn't be ashamed of himself, but he should be embarrassed that such a pathetic show of passivity is the only reason he's winning a Grand Tour.

The Jumbo team brass should be ashamed of themselves for letting Twitter decide their strategy for them because they're so scared of negative PR that they can be bullied into doing whatever a bunch of people who follow Jonathan Vaughters unironically want.

Jonas and Primož should be ashamed of themselves for being so weak they accept such instructions and perform their act so transparently fakely.

Movistar, UAE and Bahrain should all be ashamed of themselves for being so caught up in battling over minor places that they did Jumbo's work for them half the day, sitting in idle passivity and letting this absolute dog and pony show take place, while then taking up the pace on the last climb to avoid Jumbo having to make any decisions.

The race organisers should all be ashamed of themselves for allowing a third significant stage to be neutralised.

Once more you hit low, wake up please.

I don't get this. It's evidently team orders (I mean everyone accepts this) & once the dust has settled on this GT, people will see Kuss won because he got into the right breakaway & the team told Vingegaard & Rog to stop fighting. The end.

It was fun whilst it lasted though. The Angliru was a big win for Rog tbh so in the intra-Jumbo skirmish he lost 2nd in GC but did win the most famous MTF in Spain. So that's something.

Ok, NO ONE is worse than Carlton Kirby, but being forced to listen to Bob Roll and CVV today was pretty brutal. Had to mute the stream or I would have lost it.
The guy never breathed?! So exhausting!
