I still wouldn't be surprised that the GC riders do nothing and don't fight for bonus either. Remco said before the start that he was going to meet will all the other GC riders because the organizers weren't respecting them.

Spanish TV just said that there's a rumour going around that the GC riders will do nothing today in protest.

"We made no demands. Our demands weren't respected"

If that’s the case then guys like Roglic are being coerced into not racing in order to bow down to a loud minority.

I still have to say; The introverted Vingegaard going to the introverted Mas to discuss today's stage not attacking agreement was something I never expected to see.

I still can't comprehend Jonas as some kind of leader despite his result for 2 years. (I mean socially)

So they're going to stage a protest against their concerns regarding wet conditions not being respected, in what looks to be dry conditions? Typical. This is basically a 19-stage Vuelta now with two days of circus acts by everyone involved instead of the Gran Salida.

I guess you just took note of a crash because of wet roads? And these are the circumstances that are much better than those predicted yesterday / this morning, but you are advocating changes in the rules every 5 seconds when the roads will dry again, and reverse the rules when it starts to rain again?

Conditions at 50k to go ≠ conditions at the finish. Or do you want entire stages to be neutralised if it's wet at any point on the route?
As said yesterday, there are, on average, 4 days with >1mm of rain in the area in August.

We have a day with 40mm of rain, and the distribution of the rain is thus that it can still rain until the finish. While rain is not included in the extreme weather protocol, the organisation acknowledged the danger in the finale with 20+ roundabouts, and changed the rules so they have times at 9K from the finish.

Still, because it is dry now (or better: it was, see the crash of Scotson and the Caja Rural rider and droplets on the cameras), you're in favour of changing the rules with 50K to go and you don't even know if it will stay dry.
I don't want entire stages to be neutralised, and because of bonuses, this stage is far from neutralised, so I don't get the resistance against taking times at 9K. But they said before the start they would take those times, and as there is still a (more than decent) chance for wet roads, I see no good reason to reverse the rules.

No one wants any rider to crash out of the race ...but it happens ..all the time

Why have we neutralised for rain ???

I have seen slippery wet Giro's , World Championships, not to mention Spring classics with dozens of crashes but here in Spain its stop everything for the rain.
