Strange to turn it on and see Groupo compacto with 38km to go. Must have been a weak break? Or is Alpecin feeling their oats to the point they never let one get far?

The break for most of the day was Fagundez. Then Sepulveda attacked shortly before the KOM.
Fagundez was caught.
Sepulveda was caught.

Thanks. Hope that’s not indicative of the breakaways this Vuelta. Their are quite a few teams without a sprinter or a GC guy—seems like a break would be their only place to make a mark.

Huge fail for Jumbo, just giving Remco another 6 seconds. None from Jumbo were at the front. And he will gain more time in the TT. They must be hugely confident that Vinge will go crazy in the mountains and gain minutes.
