there has to be something lost in translation here, there's no way he could possibly think O'Connor was ahead. Roglic was on his wheel the whole way up the climb until he and Lipowitz attacked.
You are right and the lost translation was likely, how much did I get back not how much did I lose.
When you saw top 3 riders absolutely blown, traversing, Sivakov and Vlasov almost hitting base of the metal barriers, struggling to go forward, I thought for sure O'Connor looked cracked enough to relinquish the red jersey, but just another surprise.
They also asked Castrillo to respond to questions in English, which was ridiculous!! Guy is in a state of jubilation and instead of expressing happiness, he instead says, don't know English words for my emotions..
ESPN should just have someone translate instead of physically and mentally blown bike racers required to be professional linguists after the race!!!

Why is it bullsh*it? No one forced him/team to do the bike change.
Gotta say fairly obvious, visible infraction, but so are the hundreds of sticky bottle, jump on the gas pedal, Madison, hand slings done on every exchange from the team cars that are ignored, disregarded.
We will see the end result, Roglic turns green, all his clothes tear off as he turns into bike racing Incredible Hulk!! Something about don't make him angry!!
