The crash yesterday was a game changer. The Italian wasn't seriously hurt, but still - there have been plenty of protests at sport events (and people running on to football pitches), but injured athletes, that's extremely rare.

MOD hat on:
It seems very possible that there will be disruption today from protests. Observations on the fact are reasonable: some frustration about it is understandable.

But if you want to give any opinion about the rights and wrongs of the protests, this is not the place. Do your venting on Twitter or elsewhere. This is a politics free zone.
Surely there should be room for discussion possible when the topic of the stage is that there is preference amongst multiple teams for one team to leave the race?
Of course such a discussion is political by nature (everything is political btw.) but it's not party or ideology political discussion but a direct discussion how the race could be impacted.
Would be ridiculous to delete these posts.

It was a clumsy cop who dropped an item that crashed a rider. Protesters have yet to hurt a single person in this race. Relax.

Didn't Mads Pedersen say that he wouldn't go into a breakaway as long as Visma tried to control? Anyway, he went into a breakaway while Visma is pulling.

Is a cause-neutral complaint about any and all violent disruption of races allowed?

According to Friebe a number of riders lobbied for IPT to pull out.
IPT riders were apparently also insulted on groupchats for their assumed political views.

I just want to know if an UAE rider was among them lmao

I don't believe that anything I said in the post you quoted would suggest restriction on that, and there would not be a problem with the discussion you predict within the parameters you have given that I have bolded.
