So with gap still going out, who will be in Red tonight?

Traeen, very closely followed by Armirail, is in current virtual lead; Vervaeke and Fortunato are within a minute of them and probably relish the final climb more; or will the gap be closed so that either Vingegaard retains it or one of the UAE pair (or trio) steps up?

Træen and Armirail are both better climbers than Vervaeke, especially a Vervaeke who has spent a lot of energy on the KOM jersey these past few days.

I don't think it's crazy strong but given the weakish lineup I agree it's a good break. There's only really Ineos and Movistar missing who could have had a go and didn't?

Edit: I am stupid, Castrillo is there. So basically it's just like Magnus Sheffield, this is as strong as a break could reasonably be.

Check the GC standings and there are four or five riders who should be in this break. I'll also add this could be one of the softest breaks in this Vuelta.
