It's too bad that Vine isn't going for GC, for somebody. I know he's had a bunch of injuries and crashes (or crashed) a lot, so a UAE contract looks good, but he's certainly capable of a top 5. This break looks like child's play for him.

He did it on purpose to be able to win stages in breaks.

You mean joining UAE? Wasn't clear what you meant.

If so, maybe but he had no problem winning stages on Alpecin (though one was from the peloton iirc?).

His ambitions should be GC.

I mean not going for the GC
Being 20 minutes behind, he can win stages in the breakaway.

He should leave the team so he has the opportunity to ride the TDF which will not happen at the UAE. He has the level to win a stage at the TDF.
