Been saying it for ages, Ion Izagirre was the star attraction in the Euskaltel auction when they pulled out. All the attention on where Samu, Antón, Nieve and Landa would end up, but Ion is the most rounded Basque talent in years.

Hands down the best rider this week, very well done. Can't say I expected that to be the case after he had to skip Catalunya.
