After cooling down a bit, I've come to think Walsh has a point. A flat run in to the finish and to the stage should be more about total watts, it should hurt the true mountain goats harder. And given that it's the first mountain stage coming off a rest day, it was more about sheer power than recovery/endurance. Heck Tony Gallopin got a top-10 on the day.

If Plateau de Beille sees Froome take a minute from Quintana all bets are off.

All bets were off when he transformed before Vuelta'11 and Sky had an alien on their hands.

I still find it bizarre that a few weeks before the Vuelta, he was getting his a$$ handed to him in Poland.

Well yeah, most people do, but Sky fans didn't know about cycling until the Vuelta. Then by TdF 2012 they were experts.

LOL!!! :D

Walsh admitting things similar to Armstrong, on twitter, with the emergency TUE for Froome to win was wrong, but not illegal, wrong. It was, it needs 3 people to sign for emergency TUE, only Zorzoli apporved it. So Walsh ignoring the reality...............the reality is that the TUE covered doping and Froome won while supposedly desperately sick.

And skyfans get upset about Sky being compared to USPS. Walsh admits it.

So isn't that 'irresponsible' writing, as Froome would put it? Making it supposedly about nationalities? Evil Frenchies trying to frame good British boy...

Without repeating what I think about the urine incident..

He did the same two years ago with the Irish on Alpe d'Huez, good thing our David loves fact checking. Of course also agreeing with the bolded.

The frustrating thing with Armstrong, and now Sky, was that whenever Armstrong or Sky insulted someone, the insulting party never seems to find out about it. I hope the French press finds out about that ridiculous piece.

The UK cycling God will hammer down on these French Press café drinking fools! It was 100% French Urine because sky had it randomly tested ----they found a W/E/E ratio of 12:1:0

When Walsh was chasing Armstrong the Vo2max number was an important part of the puzzle of Armstrong's doping. With Froome it isn't. Go figure.

I think Froome has had a V02 test but the number wasn't good, if the number was good they'd have released it at the first moment possible.

Froome tested an 80-85 at 70kg according to himself.

If my math is right, that's anything between an 85 and a 90 if you adjust his weight from 70kg to 66kg.

But if we apply a bit of Kerrison Mathematics (67,5kg and of course 6% machine calibration error) we can juke the stats and get the values down to 78-82. Let's do that. Sky do it, after all.

The sad thing about Walsh is, he is looking like a stooge at best. That other teams have released their riders values that totally contradict what Sky claim Froome's numbers were. How did Froome win the stage when others performed better?

Wonder did Walsh get the nod for an honour from the Queen, because it sure defies logic to go after Armstrong and others using similar information but disregard it for Sky.

Walsh on Victoria Derbyshire - because no-one has ratted on Froome he has nothing to investigate. 6 people grassed up Lance. Did he forget that it took years for that to happen ?

David Walsh - Sunday Times chief sports writer
"I've also spent a lot of time looking at the people around Chris Froome, looking at what's going on in Team Sky. We're now three years into the Froome story. At the three-year point into my investigation into Lance Armstrong I had six people in his team who told me he doped.
