No teams interested in Horner, seems Papy will no longer be part of EU peloton.

The following quote seems a bit unnecessary though.
Wadecki said the Polish team had spoken to Horner's agent, Baden Cooke, but said, "We were not interested in the proposal. Horner is older than me. It would be funny if he and I and our old man Davide Rebellin sat at the same table. We would have well over a hundred years between us." :p

Back at the ranch...
CCC Polkowice Sprandi has re-signed Rebellin, who is a few months older than Horner...

Poor Pappy. I guess the word is out the UCI wants him out of the WT.

The UCI could still make this a movie where Grand Pappy gets called up as a stagiare for "one, last time" where he poaches the podium from some twenty-something phenom. The ratings would be fantastic.

Plenty of room for big time dopers in the Peloton, but no Horner:mad: What gives, you need to be Euro to wash your hands of the past?

Rebellin is probably a bit cheaper.

The rumours about Armstrong talking about having something on Horner plus his running back and forth to CIRC might make Horner completely unsellable. Did Armstrong ever officially congratulate Horner on the Vuelta win?
Why on earth should Lance just reveal his last loyal disciple? Not that they were big friends. But Horner was the only one who had a clear point about Lance before USADA and who wasn't suddenly badmouthing him afterwards like all the other hypocrites.

Not really that kind of guy to spit on now.

Never served to Lance in his prime. Never cashed from system Lance in his prime. Never was part of system Lance in his prime. Never attacked Lance from behind after/at USADA.

But Lance is a person without any character at all. Just an evil person. So it would fix to him, to just crush Horner

I believe that stems from this (from the Armstrong thread):

He has told friends he has dirt on Horner.
I've haven't seen any thing further about it though. At this point, Lance is only interested in rescuing Lance. It would seem strange to betray Horner, but not as strange as other things coming from the Lance camp in the past several months.

I am inclined to agree that Horner will be busted (ie he is rider 15) in the near future so why sign a guy who comes with a possible doping ban and when he gets it do you want the guy wearing your sponsors jersey?

There's still hope left. L'Oreal to back up Bretagne as a co-sponsor with Horner winning the Tour 2015! #ageisjustaconcept

I already see all those commercials with Horner in the maillot jaune phrasing his never ending youth.

Come on, even Foxxy and Prudhomme know they want it deep inside!

it does hint at there being a 'live' grapevine amongst the peloton and Horner's possible impending ban or outing as 'rider 15' seems to have affected his chances.

IMO, the UCI is smart about this. They aren't required to sanction him even though they've probably got what they need to do it.

Busting him down to Continental with no WT access is sufficient. Unless you were about the 100 people outside the sport in the U.S. following continental racing you would have never heard about Francisco Mancebo after Puerto. It is the same deal for Grand Pappy.

Horner was much more toxic at this point last year, but he still managed to land a contract.

Toxic to whom? The clinic 12.

Meanwhile the comments on Horner blurbs at CN were full of love for the guy. As always, nice enough guy so I can see why he attracts an audience. The blind love is likely ongoing.

knocking a doper down to Continental is not a ban.

If Horner is 'rider 15' and i have no doubt he is a doper, he deserves a ban.

Well, Horner didnt really do anything of note this year, he just got a year older.

But yes. Free Horner. He is what cycling needs and deserves.

Top 20 at the TdF after a terrible accident earlier in the year is something. He was pretty hot at Utah too. Lots of climbing there.

Benotti69, to the UCI busting an athlete down to Continental level is best. No doping controversy. You know this.

Ohh the love from the fans for Chris is never ending. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/sponsor-pressure-ends-horners-time-at-lampre-merida

The comments are great. Some of those fans are never buying a Merida and will ride their Specialized bike with pride!!!

No. Never. Ever. The only thing I want, is the biggest sport cheat of all time to be caught. And if that means it has to come from LA, be it. If it comes from LA doing a LA (IOW being a rat), be it.

I can accept all the small cheatings we all did in our lives to get trou this or that situation...
But it´s a whole different league if it comes with plain insulting all our intelligence. Like a half-dead grandpa riding one-legged into the sun winning small and grand tours with a cheesily grin basically saying "I shit on ya all, nobody ever gets me, even tough I cheat the most obvious way". Oh how I hate this arrogant behaviour. Only once in sports I expierienced that: With LA during the 7 dark years...

Horny Pappy must be brutally toxic, not even CCC Polkowice is interested (and you know, these guys are playing Rebellin card for some years and now are signing, take a seat please, Stefan Schumacher!)

I have no idea why he is worse than Rebellin or Schumacher clinic-wise. If UCI thinks that he's way too ridiculous and blacklisted him, he wouldn't be able ride in Lampre. Maybe people think that a guy at 43 with a lot of issues is not worth signing, unlike Rebellin, who is still producing results. I have no idea why they signed Schumacher though, I have heard about him nothing since 2012(?) Tour de San Luis.

Schumacher won an ITT in a Polish race this year (Szlakiem Grodòw Piastowskich (2.1):
