The Hog has been warned literally dozens of time to stop quoting entire articles, but rather quote a section and provide a link. He has kept doing it over and over again. A temporary ban is hardly an overreaction considering he clearly wasn't taking the warnings seriously.

Incidentally I'm not sure if Cyclingnews aren't to some extend responsible for what goes on here on the forums. If they are clearly that's even more reason to take action against The Hog's consistent plagiarism.

Ah, I see. He posted the whole article before being banned, yes?

thehog is banned for plagiarizing on a forum? This forum has bigger problems of late with all the trolls and shills. He's posting on an INTERNET forum, not writing for the NY Times.

Lance haters blinded by the massive circle jerk going on here.

Some points for you all to consider

1. It has already blown over

2. No one besides 5 or 6 of you lance haters who spend their life posting on the net even know about it. Ask any casual cycling fan - they have no idea. You idiots are going on like its the biggest thing ever. It means nothing.

LA's legal team would just trash her on the stand if she were to do that painting her as a bitter ex-wife. She wouldn't even be called to testify on that reason alone. The only chance they'd have would be a video of LA and crew in the act with full narative and up close shots of the materiel.

that's complete rubbish, her evidence will count. why the hell would she need videos etc? do people who have witnessed a murder need to have video evidence for people to believe them?

Let me see if I can make this so a few more may understand it. Unless she has something more than her word she has nothing. Don't think LA won't have a legal team in place should this ever make it to court that would hesitate to pull the bitter ex trigger. Playing the Devils Advocate here but without physical evidence they don't have a chance to get a conviction and who here really thinks LA's that stupid to have left anything laying around that could be traced to him.

News outlets are continually dwindling in revenue. The use of their material to entertain away from their source (and ad streams) is becoming a real hot topic these days.

you seem to be obtuse or uninformed or both kodiak.

just upthread you wilfully missed what burns your eyes - a sworn affidavit from a trustworthy witness of doping counts heavily in judicial proceedings.

leogrande was convicted of doping after he-said-she-said piss match with sonye.

the tribunal trusted what ‘she-said’

stop being obtuse.

which is next? rc cola? dr pepper? 7-up? shasta? will you work through the colas before moving on to other soft drink styles?

i like grape nehi. it reminds me of radar o'reilly.

Whatever happened to shur-fine? Fanta? Polar? I guess my favorite is coke, but sometimes get a taste for the Dew. Cherry Coke is good too. I hate coffee in the afternoon and need caffeine.

So what's this thread about, anyways?

so thehog is banned over this?

I find it slightly amusing that he won't make it (on here) to the start of the TdF. Maybe he got himself banned deliberately to avoid being tested on his theories about the WSJ article? Like the old deliberate-false-start-in-the-men's-100m only stupider?

Any further off-topic postings will be deleted.

Susan

I apologise for the quip above. But I do find it funny.

However, I don't think the comments about how commercial media behave are altogether off-topic. Look at the WSJ today (or, for that matter, any respectable newspaper). Why would you run any non-timely story about a sport other than soccer unless it was earth-shattering? I mean, David Walsh walks into the editor's office with copy about the Landis story whilst England are still in the World Cup and Andy Murray is still in Wimbleon and England are actually beating Australia at something (cricket) and expects a page in the Sunday Times for a doping allegations story? He'd be laughed out of there, surely?

It would be like ... well ... cyclingnews.com running a story about cyclo-cross on tourmalet-day in the TdF. You'd save it for when people might read it, right?

Whatever the media do or do not have on young LAS and team, it's hard to see them running it now?

People come on here for the sole purpose of trolling & causing trouble. Ban them instead.

Well, that would likely cause the Hog to get banned as well. He trolls for lance fanboys just like some fanboys troll for lance haters.

since the thread as intended by some and despite susan's several warnings was successfully derailed, i'll take upon myself a shameful sin and quote myself on topic.

Let me see if I can make this so a few more may understand. If she is able to corroborate things such as where the dope came from etc, then you have no point. I would suggest that as his ex-wife, she would have more information than just "yea I saw Lance give FLandis drugs. Also note that the "bitter ex" trigger being pulled only means they claim such. That does not mean a judge or jury would have to believe their assertion, and if you knew anything about Kristin, I would think you might realize that she could easily come across as credible regardless of the mud Lance's defense team slung.

All that being said, she may very well keep the "I don't remember that ruse" going.
