Obvious Contador is obvious?

I really don't understand all the votes for The Dawg

I mean c'mon, compare the two. The best stageracer of this generation by a country mile who has won 7 GT's the last 6 years versus a skinny Kenyan.

Really, I just hope the winner really earns the win. And does it through going up against the other climbers in the mountains. Meaning I don't want the winner to be a guy that benefited off their train the entire mountain and then just wins it in the TT. I want to see some big attacking.

Anyways, head says it will probably be Froome.

it is hard to fathom that a guy who got disqualified for holding on to a motorbike during the Giro just a few years ago is now the favourite for the TDF.

Yeah Amazing....IMO. 1 year later facing no contract he turns into a world beater....go figure, I can't.

Is this Froome you are talking about? I have never heard about this, is it true?

Voted Contador!! He will be fully ready for the battle. And the fact that he couldn't ride last years tdf will give him even more motivation to show the world that he's the best GC rider.

Yes, it's way easier to adore the guy who made a step from 25th to the 1st in the Tour for 2 years, because it is so logical and progressive...

Quintana missing is a mistake, but Valverde will never ever ever win the TdF. Porte is only the third in row at sky and Pinot is still too green behind his ears to battle for the victory

I agree, but Valverde is 100 times more likely to win the Tour than say Jurgen Van den Broeck WHO is in the poll....

The reason why JVDB is in such polls is because he has a very good chance to finish at position 3-7 and he is very consistent while a guy like Valverde is mostly all or nothing. The chance that JVDB ends before Valverde is pretty big and that's why he's in the poll and Valverde isn't. But ofcourse the chance that JVDB wins it is very small

SInce this isnt top 10 poll but a win poll I would always rather include a "all or nothing" guy than a JvB-type. Just seems wrong.

certianly true, but I wouldn't include both of them. The option "Other" is a good place for the both of them. Actually in this kind of polls there should only be a couple of options

If Movistar would have sent Quintana to Dauphiné/Suisse the guy could have fight the podium.

If he's arriving in France without competition is because his stupid team dont want him doing something in July... they prefer save him for the Vuelta.

Really stupid.

Valverde and Pinot definitelly deserve to be included in the poll. Quintana should be included based on his talent making him a great wildcard pick for a high placing.

The ideal poll options IMO would be
Contador
Froome
Valverde
Purito
Schleck
Quintana
Van Den Broeck
Rolland/Pinot
Evans/Tejay
vino/other

Or maybe combine Quintana and valverde and stick in Hesjedal/Talansky or Wiggins (although I'm not sure I would even put him in the poll at this point ).

Edit: yep, Wiggins shouldn't be included.

Really stupid.

In a way-yes-I quite find strange that Movistar is keeping him off competition prior to the Tour-Unless Unzue ONLY envisions Nairo for Stage wins while backing Valverde-but that's stupid, considering how inconsistent is Alejandro riding the Tour-he's simply not of the TDF winners breed....

I have faith Nairo will go for he Alpe d'Huez stage win- no mater what:)

As far as the poll- I still believe C.O.N.T.A.D.O.R. will win it
