What about Roche, can he do well?

He could, his form looks ok and if he can come 5th in the Vuelta 7 minutes behind the winner, I'd expect he could ride to a similar position in the Giro. Much depends on if he is really targetting this race, for stages, the overall, as a domestique, or as prep for the Tour. I think he'll be riding for himself and overall and should be up there.

Do we know how ready J-Rod is after the problems he had?

He sounds optimistic based on his previous tweets the last days. I can't see him starting the Giro if his ribs still hurting on training.

So i think it will be fine. I hope he's already recovered in time for Viggiano, because he can win there.

What do we think of Pellizotti? In my opinion a top ten and a stage victory is possible for him. Last year, he was strong in the third week. I think he will be better than last year. He showed good form recently, and we may not forget last year, the Giro was his first Grand Tour since 2009 if I'm not mistaken.

Logically Quintana will win it (at least on paper). But me think, this is purito's year. I put my money on purito :D

Can't see why Pirazzi would want a top 10? much better to hunt for stages and KOM competition

His team stated it.That he will aim for GC for the first time:cool:

edit: of course its a bs,i would rather see him hunting stages like almost everybody here

How big chance do you think Duarte and Pirazzi have as of TOP10?;)

If Duarte doesn't have a bad day anymore, he could be the big surprise. Don't be wondered if he becomes a threat for the top-5

However, i can't see him not having a bad day.

Everyone is talking about Aru and Scarponi, but what about Landa? He showed an excellent form lately. Isn't Landa going to have more priority than Aru?

imo Scarponi will be leader till the end of the Giro and will do pretty good, maybe 4th. Aru or Landa maybe Top10.

Also less comments about Daniel Martin, personally I think he will do good, but will have an offday. So no Top10 for Martin.

1. J-Rod
2. Quintana
3. Uran
4. Scarponi
5. Evans
6. Pozzovivo
7. Niemiec
8. Majka
9. Aru
10. Kelderman

In general I voted for J-Rod. I think he has slightly the advantage over Quintana because of his experiences in the Giro.

Landa could land a top 15 I think, maybe a high top 10 (8th, 9th, 10th, etc.), we'll see. As far as priorities of riders on Astana goes I think it's Scarponi (experienced, has gotten the results in GT's to earn leadership in the past)-Aru (young and talented, looking to prove himself)-Landa (mostly domestique, but showing good form that can give him a higher overall placing then you would see from traditional domestiques).

Of course, the road will decide all.

+ Landa came into Trentino with a great shape from basque country. Aru has barely raced this year and probably got more to go on than Landa. Not that I will complain if Landa climbs like an angel :p

From duo Majka - Aru,who do you think has a better chance for top5?

imo Majka is not so impressive this year, maybe any problems, I dont know his preparation.

I personally would like to see Majka get top 5 over Aru, but that's just what I want. I think Aru will place higher than Majka. I'm thinking though that both of them will be a little lower than top 5.
