Don't let Wiggins's genuine concern for his kids ...

That is exactly why Armstrong had to come clean, concern for his kids. Wiggins should think about his kids and stop lying.

Don't let Wiggins's genuine concern for his kids get in the way of your set agenda. Get real BroDeal.

Even school kids have figured out Wiggins is a doper now. Maybe its time you got off your nationalistic high horse and faced reality as well.

Wanting Armstrong to come clean was based on events that were of certainty to us. You're asking Wiggins to stop lying based on a nothing more than a hunch than anything that is more definitive as was the case with Armstrong.

In other words is there something similar like a hospital incident or a positive in 99 that Wiggins is lying about?

Still beating that false drum, I see.

Probably because the last time he started naming names, he got heck for not including Sastre.

Umm what?

He most definately did not. Sky have never had any of their lies or contradictions shoved in their faces. Which is why its so easy for them to say whatever they want to the media, knowing full well they'll never get called out for it.

Brailsford is already talking up a bigger 2014.

“We’ve taken stock of that and we’re thinking more about building into the season and sustaining that for longer, rather than hitting it really hard early doors and dropping off in performance.”

La Vie Claire in 1986 set a standard that is hard to beat in this respect. (1st, 2nd, 4th and 7th (albeit a very long way back) if memory serves.)

Though Astana in 2009 did OK and that was even with their 3rd best GC option crashing out early. Not the best example of clean cycling with a harmonious team, though!

Sorry, but comparing Froome and Wigans to Lemond and Hinault is so absurd that I can't really take this seriously.

Isn't it a subtle troll of Froome? That's how I took it at least.

so lets guess. Clean riders according to Wiggo: Evans, Horner, Nibali and the good lord himself.

edit: should have read the article. Tour winners hello.

Perhaps he implied the following:

1-) Wiggins
2-) Wiggins
3-) Wiggins
4-) Wiggins

& Wiggins

I think he has implied that he beleives Evans and Sastre won the Tour clean.

When Armstrong's kids were bullied about their father's doping, he decided he should come clean. When Wiggins' kids were bullied and their father's doping, he decided to have them change schools. He should have followed the rider he admires so much and sacked up for once in his life.

Wiggins would never take tips off Armstrong......Well apart from this time (from the hard hitting Sky's the limit book talking about Brad Wiggins))
he also remarked testily that he "had the **** with some journalists who kept asking him about doping. Lance gave me some advice about the press" he said "But I'm not going to tell you what he told me"

Armstrong has been known to give advice to other riders about how to deny doping. He gave Landis an earful after Landis bungled it.

So, we're waiting for the inevitable revelations after the Statute of Limitations kick in. And then, and only then, will there be sufficient evidence of doping. And THEN this era will be classified as corrupted as the Armstrong years.

In the meantime, cleanest peloton ever. Right?

What kind of numbskull thinks Sastre was clean?

The sort that went ape after people were saying Evans was the first clean TDF winner in ages.

(I don't believe Sastre was clean for one moment)

(And this isn't the Evans thread)

Let me tell you a couple of three things.

1 Attacking Wiggins for declaring who is clean and who is not, without giving any explanation as to why he chose to promote some as clean and some as not, means believing in Sastre? no. I do not have to believe a rider is clean to criticize the hypocrisy of those who pick and choose the standards by which they judge others.

2 when you said Wiggins refrained this time because he got "heck" last time for suggesting Sastre doped, who did he get "heck" from?

3 why do you think Sastre is dirty when there is no more evidence against him than there is against Wiggins or froome who you see as clean?

I wish that Wiggins would list those he chooses to think are clean so that we all can get it straight.

That is easy. If you ride for Sky then you is cleans. Not only that, if you doped in the past then all is forgotten. Being hired by the team is much like buying an indulgence from the Pope, although with a small caveat that if your doping history becomes public knowledge then the indulgence is revoked.

Certainly California with 21st Century Fox is a big deal. We want to perform well and fly the Team Sky flag with pride over there.

Testing must be handled by the UCI for 2014, again. There are so many consistent performances at that event.

We need an updated image of the guy with the needle running alongside the Sky-powered peloton.

2. I recall reading plenty of flack at the time he said it. Forums, and other outlets. (I want to say BBC message boards etc, but its a few years ago)

3. I didn't say I believe Sastre to be dirty. I said I didn't believe him to be clean. To me he is in a grey area, suspicious, but no significant evidence against him.
