questionable fashion sense and even more questionable sense of what is funny.

See this is where we get the atlantic divide..

There is nothing wrong with his fashion sense, better than the americans love of shell suits, jogging pants, and checked shirts (yes, we do get jerry springer over here), as for sense of humour, we gave you monty python, fawlty towers, and benny hill, you gave us freinds and bill n ted. I rest my case.

You seemed to join in with the joyous Wiggo battering in another thread. Not being able to take what he said seriously, after he said that he found CDV's '98 tour inspiring and misreading his humour, suggesting he should shut up etc...

I think it's a fair shout that Levi & Vandevelde will be nip & tuck with him, personally I think they'll be behind him ;)

Still waiting to hear who else is going to beat him other than Contador and Schleck from BroDeal and why he's going not going to finish top 10.....

Yes the BRITISH did give us Monty Python (I'm a huge fan). I know Monty Python. Wigans is no Monty Python. The thing about his attire is that it seems (to me) to be quite forced with the scarf worn around his neck...IN DOORS! Dude is a fashion victim. It doesn't seem at all relaxed. His every public appearance is just so sad...."Look at me I'm MOD. I'm hip. I'm cool. Read my twits--aren't they racy and controversial??!!" He simply is trying too hard.:(

I don't see how my finding BroDeal's original post and some the subsequent posts funny makes me "so far up his a55"??

I also don't see in any of my posts anything saying that Wigan's will lose 20 minutes on any particular climb or cumulatively. That is ridiculous. Now it is not far-fetched to say that Wigan's will be trailing behind Leipheimer and Vandevelde since they both have proven more than once that they can climb at least with the 2 tier of elite climbers.

As I stated Wigans had his moment in the sun and it was just that. When he shows he can repeat the performance I'll be a believer especially on this year's Tour route which is bit more challenging than last year's. Plus the lineup of competition will be that much more tantilizing making it even more impressive should he show that he was no mere flash in the pan. It's simply hard for me to root for such an obnoxious fop of a man with questionable fashion sense and even more questionable sense of what is funny. Was he an outcast as child and now his time in the limelight is blinding him such that he can't see the folly of his ways?;)

Mate, who has got a good fashion sense? :)

I think he just wears what he likes and says what he thinks.. Doesnt BS like some..

If lack of fashion sense is a crime how come Andy Schleck isnt the most unpopular man in cycling?

Maybe I'm just too conservative to appreciate his advanced appreciation of retro 1950 & 60's style. I also couldn't understand why Vaughters for quite awhile was always wearing the same fuzzy turtleneck sweater even when it was hot out but hey that's just me.;)

Don't take what any sour grape yank says seriously, Wiggo left Garmin and it huuuuuuuurts. :)

Angliru reckons that Wiggo's gonna be climbing with the third group. Bro says that Wiggo's gonna lose 20 mins.

Mate, you often get Americans copying a sartorially superior style and coming off third rate, don't worry - or try. ;)

No crime. It all seems forced and unnatural. Desperate stabs at attention.

I didn't realize Andy tried to display any particular fashion sense. Looks to me he's just wearing clothes. Wigans on the other hand seems to have been possessed by his clothes. In all honesty he's no different than Ricco, just different representations (Italian/British) of bad taste.

Of course this is all simply my opinion. No reason for any of you to get all hot under the collar about someone having an opposing or different perspective.

Must be a British thing coz I don't know what you're talking about???!! But then I'm not much of a drinker either.

Nothing to do with Britain, I never set foot here until post kitten hood but pre Tiger, it is far to subtle to be explained and would be ruined in the do sewing of, just pretend I'm the funniest foo care you've ever read. It's true, just not today.

Actually Wiggins leaving Garmin was a blessing in disguise for him. This way he won't have to resort back to domestique duties when Vandevelde out performs him. :D

By the way I take back whatever I said in regards to his statements about Christian Vandevelde. I agree he was sincere in what he said and meant no negativity. He's still going to have a clear view of Vandevelde's rear wheel as it slowly disappears up the mountain pass while he gags on his too tight ascot. ;)

Some of you think that some of these four are no-hopers rather than some of the greatest riders of our lifetime, thereby displaying your ignorance. So, I'll offer you this.

The answer to your question is - it's a 'monument' (to the Wright Brothers as it happens)

So what? The Gold Medals are all 2008 ones, none of those jerseys are really Contador's and you don't actually get a 40 foot monument for winning LBL. It's only a depiction of their achievements. Are you a bit soft in the head or something?

I do believe that Andy and Frank represent a fashion house and have their own line of clothing..

Wigans will crack in the mountains. He won't be able to handle mutliple hard climbs in a single stage. Contador, A. Shleck, F. Schleck, Nibali, Gesink, Vande Velde, Sanchez, Valverde, Evans, etc.--heck, even Armstrong--will leave him for dead.
