yet in the clinic you bash how sky dominate and how it's unbelievable

Think it was more about mediocre riders who could hardly climb a soft hat suddenly turn into GT winners. But lets leave clinic issues in the clinic

nah, this has nothing to do with mind warfare, just a bit of PR I'am afraid.

Still, Wiggo and the Sky train will get back in business after the next few transitional stages.

In the rain and snow?

I agree not the time or place to discuss how mediocre (Sky) riders become GT champions.

Fair enough, state that you are ill. But two things strike being as being a little off. Firstly, was it he or Brailsford who jumped down a journos throat for asking if Wiggo had the same illness as Cataldo a few days ago? Secondly, he hasn't just stated he is ill, the valedictory sentence regarding the Tour de Picardie implies that the illness is the sole reason, or certainly chief reason, for his time loss. The arrogance of the man is starting to P me off again.

Snide question from a journo, batted away quite nicely. The Hadron Collider would find it hard to detect much arrogance there

What's he got descendonitis?

After the ITT he said:

"After when we broke it all down and [had] seen the numbers I was producing like that, I was physically better than I've ever been, which also makes it a bit more disappointing,"

All this despite being ill?

Maybe I'm cynical, but I think he might have been looking for an exit if he'd lost time today.

Then he's be on at Brailsford to make him leader for the Tour. Froome better watch his back.

Correct.

First there was the Giro/Tour double.

Then the numbers were better than ever.

TTT boom!

Then girly decending. Loss of some time. Numbers still good.

Then he has cold?

What happened to attention to detail? I thought they washed their hands differently so they didn't get sick?

Sky are a joke.

No they just use the same bedding and pillows every day. Keep them in the baggage hold of the bus and let the germs marinate nicely becxause they never get aired properly like the bedding does in a decent hotel.

Very well said.

Don't agree that it was ego.

He has trained hard, but the time frame is too short. If he was at 100% last July, where is he in relation to that, and why?
He had gotten to 100% last year after a long slog of almost 18 months. After the Olympics he took a lot of time off, had a lot of commitments - and to cap it all off the Giro is in May. He has got in to as good a condition as he could in the time, but the opposition are better prepared.

Correct.

EDIT - With the exception of Evans in terms of the opposition being better prepared. I think even his biggest fan would admit that they're surprised at how well he's been going in the Giro. He looked quite good at Oman in February but he was very average at Tirreno and then terrible at Criterium International in March. There were some promising signs of recovery at Trentino but nothing in his performance or words pre-Giro suggested he'd be this good (it wasn't even part of his race programme until a few weeks before the start!). Just shows you can't be certain of predicting anything however much we all think we can!

As well as the fact that there are very little differences between the guys in the peloton, they are all elite athletes who would smack anyone else on earth in a climb, we get fooled by the gaps obviously, so a little something that goes wrong and disaster can strike. A bit like piloting a plane at 30,000 feet when you can break up the plane if you go too fast and stall if you go too slowly, they're on the edge, especially being razor thin and with no body fat to speak of to "protect" from illness.

We really take them for granted so it's all the more sickening to read the rants of clueless, most likely totally unfit, know-it-all morons typing away behind their screen.

I'll assume your describing yourself here, otherwise I'd remind you insulting other forum members is against the rules. And if you don't like reading what other people have to say on a public internet forum then your free to leave it anytime.

The withdraw and go for the Tour theories really are crackpot.

He's not the Tour leader now, and quitting the Giro in failure is not going to make him any more attractive as a leader. It would be more likely he'd skip the Tour and go for the Vuelta if he did drop out, but I can't see it happening to be honest.

First off, if we believe he is sick, then we'll see over the weekend he should be able to gain back his loss time. So for now, I believe that wiggins is indeed sick.

the idea of withdraw isn't crackpot, it's actually jackpot.:p

here's the conspiracy theory
After Uran won, he said that he'll talk to Uran *ehem behind closed door*. Then 24hrs later, after stage 10, wiggins told the press that he has been sick all week. Maybe ... just maybe.. sky/wiggins thinks it's time to plan the seed to the press the idea that he has been sick all week. Sooo if he looses time again (whether in wet descent, or just whatever reason, crack on the climb), he can say: "see ya' later suckah'!" and exits gracefully due to sickness. No one is going to disgrace him if quote on quote "he is sick as a dog." *wink-wink*. And remember what Lance alway did? "Control the Naration"..:p:p

but on the flip side, it can be as simple as he indeed is sick. *after all he lives on earth like the rest of us*. Maybe his girly wet descent was caused by his nausea or something..:D

He also needs to turn the pedals in a circular motion, breath air and consume food.

Do they still move in a circular motion with an elliptical chain ring. I believe so but not 100%

Shouldn't be too hard to see if he's lying about being ill. If he isn't lying, his performance should improve in the 3rd week once the cold is cleared.

If he's out of contention, the high level of focus needed for GC will go and he will unravel, cold or no cold.

"I'll have to speak to Rigoberto tonight. He went all out for the stage. It's just whether he feels now he can go for that GC. There's a time trial. He's quite inconsistent like that; he can have a really good day, win a stage like today and then lose a few seconds tomorrow, so we'll have to see how he feels."

What a piece of Sh!t Wiggo is!!!

Rigo stated clearly he would honor his role and confirmed to the public his will to help Wiggo-- Wouldn't be appropriate from Bradley to say the least he's grateful to receive the news & will be willing to repay his work if things won't work as planned initially???:mad: Instead he now feels the hit of what everyone sees clearly & yet refuses to give up his position-even if the entire team sinks in their bid for a podium spot? I guess as long as everyone pleases "Sir BW's wishes.....

I think Rigo might have to take back those words about Froome-because seems clear to me who's the real P.R.A.T. !!!
