Good job by Bradley. 9th is very respectable for his first time at it. Considering how terrible on riding on wet roads in the mountains, I would never have guessed he would have did this well at PR.

Not first time ;) He was 25th in 2009.

Great performance indeed.

Just a correction, he's ridden it multiple times.

What I cannot remember is has it been 3 or 4 times so far?

After Vuelta 2011 and Tour 2012, I started to hate this guy, but he got some respect and points in my consideration today.

E.g. lightweight and cobbles don't mix that well and the risk of injury when building to the #1 goals of the year are too great.

I think that is more myth than truth. Hinault and Lemond were around 140-145. Bettini wasn't a slouch on cobbles and he was around 120-125. PVP and Knaven were around 150.

Suck it, haters.

Why do folks who think Wiggo is a bit odd and over-talked about is a hater much of the time? I think a fair few folks thought if the weather was nice he might be up there in a big group (which is what happened). He was a threat for the win in that group.

I would have liked to have seen G do better and it was a good ride by him. Really, when it comes to races like this they should perhaps talk about G a bit more?

Great ride today by Terpstra. Glad to see him finally win a monument.

Not sure why you draw a comparison to where Boonen finish. Given what he had done and that the team had won, I am pretty sure he was not too fussed at the end :D

Don't think Bettini ever did Roubaix. Or maybe once? Don't remember.

My post was slightly tongue-in-cheek ;). I only expected him to finish today.

I'd like to congratulate Bradley on silencing the haters, well done Sir!

Yep and nice attack when his group bridged back at the end, could have been him instead of Terpstra if he hadn't been chased down immediately...

I am one of the haters, but I wouldn't say bad things about his PR intention from the start, I kind of trust it, still his ride today really impressed me, I even gave my tv screen a thumb up.

Well I'm impressed. Don't like Wiggo much because of his potty mouth but have to give him a tip of the hat for that ride today!

Pretty sure Quickstep would have shut down any move without one of their guys

the results don't show everything. like how wiggins was on the front attacking and forcing the final selection from 60k out. what a show of force.

the only reason he came in 9th was because he was so strong, all the teams were marking his every move.

it's the curse of being the strongest.

top 10 and in the winning move, I was biting the remote control! OPQS were stronger, but great, great race for Wiggo

+1

Yea, I think Wigans is the king of d0uchebags, but I give him a big thumbs up for today's ride. He was animated, and did himself proud.

Any man still standing at the end of Paris Roubaix, you can't call him soft. That's a rule.

Wiggins did very well

Hilarious! :D

On another note - Sky kinda failed in the end. 2 in the top 10, but no W, no podium, even being one of only 2 teams with the tactical numbers.

G waited way too long to chase.
